"There could be a chance later in the year to get permission for a longer stay", but for the time being Craig, VK5CE has been authorized to operate from Ashmore Reef (OC-216) [425DXN 1348] from dawn to dusk, i.e. from 21 UTC to 10 UTC. He plans to be active as VK5CE/9 for four days beween 6 and 12 November, and to operate SSB and "very slow CW" on 40, 30, 20, 17 and 15 metres. He anticipates working only Europe and North America between 21.00-00.00 UTC and 07.00-10.00 UTC. Propagation forecasts have been published on ashmorereef.wordpress.com/. On 12-16 October he will be active as VK5CE/8 from North Island (OC-198) [425DXN 1339], and that DXpedition will provide "a practice run" for him to "use the same bands and times of day to see what conditions will be like" for OC-216. "Everything is going to plan" for OC-198, he says, "and this is the DXpedition where sponsorship is wanted the most at present". More information can be found at oc198.wordpress.com/.
