My current call (K4CX) was assigned to Bob Moren (SK), a licensed amateur radio operator for 73 years (1932-2005) and an SSB pioneer. Bob was a brass-pounder aboard the Pan AM Clippers flying the South American routes in the 1940s. He made the first amateur radio SSB trans-Pacific QSO with VK7DH in Tasmania on April 8, 1950.

It is an honor to be assigned and use Bob's call sign.

73, David
