I have been a licensed amateur radio operator since October 2008. I am an active member of the Kennehoochee Amateur Radio Club,Cobb County ARES and the ARRL. I also am a member of the Southeastern DX club and the South East Contest Club.
I enjoy a wide variety of modes, but primarily spend my time on HF working SSB and PSK. My station consists of a Yaesu FT-950, FT-8800 and ICOM 880H DSTAR. My Tuner is a MFJ-993B Autotuner. My HF Antenna is a Home Brew Dipole 80-10 at about 60 feet horizontal, Balance Line feed, and several UHF/VHF antennas. The HF radio is connected to my desktop computer via a SingnaLink USB interface for digital modes and serial cable for rig control. My computer runs Win7 and I use HRD and DM-780 as my digital mode operating software of choice and rig control. |

When I'm not on HF or Contesting, I enjoy working with ARES and Local Community Events. I am a technology nut, but also am a Ordained Minister by choice and calling. My QSL cards, I have been told, are both inspiring and unique and I enjoy sending them.
