First licensed as WN9EOD back in 1962 at the age of 12. Upgraded to General class and became WA9EOD. Later, upgraded to Extra and changed calls to KG9X. Interested in DX and HF contesting. 10M is my favorite band and working the world using QRP. I currently hold the ARRL USA 10M SO Mixed QRP world record with 886,650 points / 1064 Q's / 257 Mults. DXCC on 10M in one weekend with 5W.
I now have returned back on 6M. Until recently, (2012) I had not been on that band since 1964 when the rig was a Heathkit Sixer and Halo antenna. I am now using my FT1000MP with a modified DEMI transverter. Using a 7element LFA2 with a 10M boom at 20M (65') on a TIC ring rotor. Plan is to stack another of the same.
I always answer QSL requests that include a SASE. I prefer using LOTW.
