I was a late starter into the ham radio hobby and only got my first licence in 1966! My QTH is located on the east coast of Vancouver Island (IOTA NA-036).
My station consists of Yaesu FT-1000D and FT-1000MP, Force 12 C-31XR, Mosley TW-33M, separate dipoles for 40m and 80m and an inverted L for 160. I am active on both CW and SSB and, in the most recent years, I have enjoyed the digital modes, particularly PSK31.
For direct qsls one green stamp is appreciated for requests from U.S.A. contacts and two green stamps from DX stations.
In June 2006 I had the privilege of operating at VI9NI on Norfolk Island with ODXG in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the arrival of the landing on Norfolk Island by the descendants of the HMS Bounty mutineers from Pitcairn Island on June 8th,1856. During our stay on Norfolk we logged 16,415 QSO's. This picture is of me operating at VI9NI.
