Operating N6D during the 2017 California QSO Party from the Quality Inn and Suites motel in Crescent City, Del Norte County. Look for me on SSB and CW during the day on 20m and primarily CW in the evening on the low bands.

I'll probably be on 40m CW early Sunday morning to work the Western Pacific about sunrise. There is always a group of JA's that want to work CQP on Sunday morning. Let's work them early.

This is a 100 watt station with a Buddipole on 40m/80m and Super Antenna YP-3 beam on 20m. If I'm tired and ask you to QRS, please slow down. I want you in my Del Norte County log. 73!

Operated K7Y on August 21, 2017 participating in the ARRL Solar Eclipse QSO Party (SEQP) from ground zero in Madras, OR. Send QSL requests w/SASEdirect to my home call sign address.

Member of the Northern California Contest Club NCCC and Mother Lode DX / Contest Club MLDXCC.

Extra Class Accredited Volunteer Examiner. I facilitate an ARRL/VEC test session semi-annually as a gesture of good will to give back to the hobby and increase the amateur radio community in my area.

My main station equipment is a Kenwood TS-450SAT, Ameritron AL-811 Amplifier upgraded with Svetlana 572B tubes, and a LDG AT-1000 Autotuner. I have three antennas covering 80m thru 10m to choose from, a Cushcraft MA5B shortened beam up 35' on a home brew roof mount, a GAP Titan DX Vertical on the side of my house, and a 30 year old Alpha Delta Model DX-DD Signal Wire 80m/40m trap dipole up 31' at the apex of the inverted V configuration that stretches from the ash tree in the front yard to the fence in the back yard.

My portable station can be seen in the article I wrote for the NCCC Newsletter, The Jug at this link beginning on page six http://www.nccc.cc/jug/2013/11Nov2013.pdf
