I have a BLOG: http://m1kta-qrp.blogspot.com/

I do some IOTA and other QRP expeditions and some people want these for awards so here is my QSL policy:

Please note that I am winding down my home call M1KTA QSL card sending and whilst I expect it will continue for special IOTA/SOTA or DXpedition I will send LoTW only otherwise. I really would like to receive QSL cards for DX locations when I am operating DX from some IOTA island or from a SOTA peak and those I will send a QSL CARD I would be greatful to receive cards either direct or via the bureau.

I use LoTW and all log entries should appear there DX almost immediately after the trip, the rest will apear in time as 2003-2009 are all paper logs!

Generally, high quality, full colour QSL cards will be produced. - BUT I WILL STOP THIS SOON for all but IOTA/SOTA/DX trips due to costs

Please, please take note that all bureau QSL cards need to clearly reference M1KTA especially if I am using another prefix otherwise the cards will get lost in the system.

During any IOTA or special operation, when asked, I advise that QSL information that may be different should be found on this web site

To request a QSL card:

I DO NOT CHARGE FOR ANY CARD!!!

Direct Cards should be sent to this address:

34 Bury Road Stapleford Cambridge CB22 5BP United Kingdom

QSL requests received direct will result in a direct response, subject to certain provisions. In order to receive a direct card:

Ensure that the QSO information on your card is clear and correct.

Enclose a good quality self-addressed envelope of sufficient size and strength for the number of return cards expected. No labels only please! Up to five QSOs can be confirmed on a single card.

Enclose £, EUROS, US dollars, please do not send IRC to meet postage costs by airmail or surface mail as appropriate. Loose UK stamps are also welcome. I will not use stamps or currency from other countries except UK!

One US dollar will pay for return postage in Europe for up to two cards. This amount will also cover surface mail outside Europe. Two US dollars are needed to pay for airmail outside Europe for up to two cards. Additional cards pro-rata. I DO NOT ACCEPT IRC ANY MORE.

Please do not send other currencies or cheques drawn on other than a UK bank. Applications received direct but without a self-addressed envelope, an envelope which is too small, or without sufficient return postage, may receive confirmations via the bureau.

Bureau Cards QSL requests received via the bureau will receive a return card via the bureau. Ensure that the QSO information on your card is clear and correct.

Please mark your cards:

M1KTA via RSGB/UK

SWL Cards: I got into amateur radio as an SWL so I am especially interested in any QSL cards from an SWL especially when it is an IOTA or DXpedition and I will QSL all correct SWL reports. SWLs should log three consecutive contacts on any band or mode. SWL QSL cards can be sent direct to the above address or via the bureau as shown above.

I NO LONGER ACCEPT QSL CARD Requests via email, please use LoTW or send a card through the buro.

QSO data error policy I am aware that some people do not want QSL cards so to avoid flooding QSL bureau with unwanted cards, please let me know you do not want a card otherwise I will normally QSL 100% if operating DX, as defined above, provided the QSO is correct in my log.

When the QSO is wrong in the log then the following approach will be taken. Ultimately the decision in uncertain cases lies with me.

Error in QSO data

Time in error by up to 10 minutes or, perhaps by an exact number of hours indicating logging occurred in something other than UTC

QSL SENT

Callsign in our log is close (e.g. a dit "out" in CW or similar sounding letters in SSB, etc.

QSL SENT

Band is wrong but all other details are OK, suggesting logging typo (unlikely as frequency logging is automatic)

QSL SENT

Mode is wrong. This could be my fault! Check for consistency elsewhere and consider giving benefit of the doubt

QSL if reasonable doubt exists

All other cases

Do not QSL pending further information
