Operation during the CQ WW C.W. 28, 29 Nov 2009 was from QTH of Paul A35A [ex. A35RK] on Lifuka Island, OC-169. Many thanks to Paul and his family for hosting my SOABLP entry. Paul stayed up both nights on 80M to boost his country totals as A35A, while letting me have the run of the station during the day. Just over 1000 Q's, mostly on 15 M using Paul's Elecraft K3 and SteppIR 3 el. at 7 m elevation. Solar power plus a little boost from a 1 kW genset. Paul's wife Va'inga, and their children Sia, Ana Pesi and Waikato kept me well supplied with food and coffee. Thanks to all for your contact!

Operation from the Vava'u group, Vaipuua Lagoon, OC-064, was from 25 April to 5 May, 2009. Over 1,000 QSO's were made, 90% on C.W. on 80 - 15 meters. Station was an Elecraft K3, homebrew aluminum vertical dipole with capacitive end loading, and 102' long G5RV. Location was Bayview Apartments on Vaipuua Lagoon. Thanks to Paul, A35RK, for providing the location and G5RV antenna. Paul was active from the same location until June 1.

All QSO's are on LOTW as of 6 May 2009 for the OC-064 operation from Vaipuua Lagoon.

All A35KL QSO's from Nov and Dec 2008 were from Foa Island, OC-169, and are on now on LOTW as of 0200Z 24 Dec 2008. All QSL's to date have been posted by US Mail as of 12 Jan 2009.
