From 10th/11th June 2006 I worked from IOTA EU-057 (Ruegen-Isl.).
From 15. - 23. Aug. 2009 I operated from Hinnoya-Isl (EU-033) as LA/DL7BY/P with FT890 and R7-antenna for some hours per day only in cw . The condx from above the polarcircle (68 degrees north) were complete different to the homelocation (51 degrees north). The bands above 20 mtr were complete dead. 30 and 20 mtrs allowed some qsos and 40 mtr was just open one hour to Europe and Asia abt. 20 UTC. But the signals came just a little bit louder than the low athmospheric noise. So often I had to ask several times to complete a callsign. Only one signal moved the s-meter on my FT 890. I planned to made abt. 1000 qsos, but in the end it were 429 hard worked qsos.
