Since September 1st, 2011, I am no longer the QSL Manager for CN3A and 5D5A.
Please refer to the CN3A and 5D5A qrz.com page for the new Manager and OQRS system.
All letters that should still arrive at my address will be forwarded to CN3A and 5D5A call owners.
Due to high increase in postage rates in Italy since Jan 1st, 2011, please take into account what is needed for a direct reply to QSL request:
- SAE (Self Addressed Envelope)
- for EUROPE postage is 0.70 €, so 1$ is at a very limit !!! Better to include 2$
- for America and Asia postage is 1.60€, so please include 3$ or 1 IRC valid for you country;
- for OCEANIA postage is 2€, so please include 4$ or 1 IRC valid for your country (if you include an European or USA IRC, this will not be sufficient);
Thank you for your cooperation.
Born in 1951, I got My Ham license in 1973 with the Call I1WIJ.
I started my radio activity as SWL I1-20165 in 1970, and in 1971 I then joined ARI.
The first equipment was a Geloso Receiver, G4-216, and an older Transmitter, G4-223 (75 watts).
The antenna was the HyGain 14-AVQ, 3 band vertical for 10-15-20 meters, and a folded dipole More-Gain for 40 and 80 which I then used till 1993.
In 1977 I moved to Milano, and I became I2WIJ.
In 1982 then I changed the vertical antenna with the famous TA33-jr, on the roof of a 25 meters high building. The antenna now is a KT-34A on top of a 9m high tower, on the same roof, and a Windom for low bands!
The picture RIG is the ICOM IC-720A, running barefoot, also assisted by a Pentium 200 CPU; next RIGs have been an IC-775DSP and a new IC-7600 which I currently use.
I like mostly CW.
