I was born in 1974 and I work as a Voice over IP telecommunication engineer for a big Italian company. I’m a Cisco Certified Internetworking Expert (CCIE # 7690) achieving it in 2001. I started playing with radio at the age of 6. My father had a CB on his car and I spent long summer afternoon sitting in that car and listening to the CB. At the age of 15 I installed my first home CB station and enjoyed with some local QSO and sometime DX.

I got my ham license in 2007 and I’m active on HF bands (except 80 and 160 m), VHF and UHF. I enjoy DXing on SSB, digital mode and I’m starting to practice with CW. I like portable operation using poor means (wires!).
I had the opportunity to operate as HV5PUL (Vatican City), 4U1ITU, CU2/IZ2LSC and IY1TTM (from the Marconi's Tower).
I’m member of the A.R.I. Club of Saronno and of the Insubria Radio Team.
I’m addicted to new technology and new media, but also interested in the telecommunication history.
My second hobby is music. I play the drums with some friend and we enjoy playing live in theatres and pubs.

IH9/IZ2LSC (AF-018)

From 20 to 31 July I will be QRV from Pantelleria Island (AF-018). Holiday style operation.
Equipment are Yaesu FT-857 (100W) and wire antennas.
I will work on HF band (except 160 and 80) SSB and digital modes.
I will take part also to the RSGB IOTA contest.
QSL request will be answered ONLY via Bureau (to my home call) and LOTW.
I will try to update my log online here (if I have a good internet connection from my location).
Otherwise it will be uploaded when I will be back.
