In a relatively new country, getting your own call sign can be daunting. After four years of vacation trips to St Lucia, we were able to get our own Resident Visitor call sign. With each change in the politics the Ham Radio picture changes. The local hams are extremely helpful in getting your equipment into the country and helping you get correctly licensed. QSLs go to the home call and/or are uploaded to LOTW. Many of the tourist spots discourage antennas, so check with the local J69 hams to see which resorts are "Ham friendly".
