Prior call N3FLQ (long time ago). I prefer direct QSL's, followed by LoTW, then Bureau...

President of W3ZGD - the Hilltop Transmitting Association (Felton, PA)

I am a certified Electromagnetic Compatability Engineer through the International Association for Radio, Telecommunication, and Electromagnetics (iNARTE).

I work as a Senior Staff Engineer at Exelon Nuclear (Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station) specializing in Instrumentation and Control systems, component / modification design, and troubleshooting. I am a Senior Member of the IEEE, a Senior Member of the ISA, and a member of the ANS.

Past President of K1SSN (Subbase Groton, CT) and US Navy Submarine Service veteran - Past member Tri-City ARC (CT) - Past Member RASON (CT) - Past member Delaware-Lehigh ARC (PA) - Past member Palomar ARC (CA) - Past member Portsmouth ARC (NH) - Past Vice-president Old Barney ARC (NJ).

I served as an EC in Ocean County, became an OO, a TS for SNJ section, and an VE (ARRL / SANDARC). I'm also a Life Member of the ARRL.

I generally operate with <100 watts but have a good QTH with big trees on the top of a hill. I am presently using a full-wave loop on 160 / 80 (etc), a 40m doublet (20/15/10), a 20m doublet (40/15/10), a pair of HF2V's, and a rotatable stack (5el-6m/13el-2m/17el-432) for VHF/UHF. I am presently using a Kenwood TS-2000 as the primary rig with a Kenwood TS-140 as a backup and my trusty Yaesu FT-101 as a play rig. I have mainly operated voice until 2011, when I made a specific effort to operate CW (my regards to those that can actually figure out what I'm sending...;-).

DXCC/phone/cw - VUCC - WAS - WAC; for 2013, I'll be chasing 5BDXCC and digital modes...

I also play golf, play in the garden, create furniture from wood, and dabble in model railroading (just to stay busy).

I'm a married father of 2 children with Autism - so if I suddenly 'disappear' from the air I am probably being 'distracted' by them. See you in the pileups!
