Dec. 13, 2009. QSL are coming in daily and I have been responding immediately. I have confirmed 191 QSO's via LOTW. If you want a card, go through the bureau. You can save some money and I QSL 100%. If you worked me in St. Croix and have not received a LOTW confirmation, just email me and I will check my log.

Nov. 12, 2009. I am back in Connecticut after enjoying my trip to St. Croix. Total QSO count was over 900. Picture QSL cards are on order and should arrive within two weeks. Be patient.

I will be operating as KP2/W1EQ from Nov. 5 to Nov. 11. Please send QSL's to W1EQ address or bureau. I will also upload to LOTW after 11/11. May try to operate RTTY on Nov. 9 and/or 10.

I was formerly K1YRP until Nov, 1996 when I picked up the call W1EQ. I hold USACA #342 (worked all united states counties). The equipment is a Yaesu FT1000MP, 100 watts to a 3 element SteppIr (added 09/05) at 37 feet for 10-12-15-17-20 and inverted vees for 80 and 40. I also have an Ameritron AL-811H amplifier that I use sparingly. I took an voluntary early retirement package from Pratt and Whitney Aircraft in January of 1995 after 33-1/2 years with the company. I then worked for Tuscarora, Inc. as a Regional Quality Manager until 2001. Took an early retirement and continued to work as a consultant for the company until January of 2003. Some people never get an early retirement package, I was lucky to get two. I presently teach college courses, part time, to keep me busy. I am also the Registrar of Voters for the Town of Putnam. I spend most of summer playing golf and in the fall, winter and spring playing ham radio.

As of 12/23/09 my DXCC totals are 335 MIXED, 314 CW, 297 SSB, 154 RTTY, 1707 CHALLENGE. WAS Triple Play LOTW #5 issued 1/17/2009. See you in the pileups!!!!!
