UPDATE 2 AUGUST 2009
We're save back home after a week of fantastic HAM radio from the island. What a beautiful location it is.
And of course happy to be the first one to activate this island.
As the conditions were not that good and the higher bands were often close Harry and myself could log 8000+ qso's.
All qso's were done in SSB and a few in digital modes.
We would thank all HAM's for their calls in sometimes big pile ups!
As for the DIA (Danish Island Award) Lango will count as FY-025 (new number).
This week the qsl lay-out will go out to the printer and the cards will will be ready soon. The first direct qsl's arrived already.
73,
Harry OZ/PA1H
Nico OZ/PA7PA
Equipment i have used during the Iota contest and DX- activation on Langø:

Also a 10,15,20 meter vertical put into the salt sea water.
Later on the week there is also placed a vertical for the Warc bands and a 1/4 dipool for 160 meters.

PA1H (Harry) and PA7PA (Nico) will be qrv as OZ/homecall from Langø Island EU-172, (NOT EU-029!!!).
Langø island belongs to Langeland Island but it’s off Langeland, there’s only 1 house.
So it’s a unique location, situated in “The Lindelse Nor”.
Qrv (during IOTA contest) juli 25 through august 1st. 2009 in SSB and DIGI-modes.10-160Mtr.
When possible also on VHF.
