In the States I sign W0CG but am fortunate to be the owner of the former PJ9JT (W1BIH) QTH on Curacao, which many argue is the best DX location in the world. The photo was taken at the outdoor operating location, where it is warm and sunny all year, and shows some tropical plantings and the beautiful Caribbean Sea. This QTH is the home of the PJ2T contest station that was built and is operated by the Caribbean Contesting Consortium. Click on the web link above for info about our club.
I was first licensed in 1963 at age 13 in Wheeling, West Virginia, as WN8KUW. College, military service, and many family moves netted other calls: WA3ILB, then WA1LHC. I selected W0CG in 1976 while living in Kansas in the Air Force. During a period living on St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands in 2000, I was assigned KP2F.
I retired from the U.S. Air Force Reserve as a Colonel in 2002, and from my "day job" in 2004, where I was Professor of Information Systems, Graduate School of Management, Kent State University.
My first love is CW DX contesting, and our club's PJ2T station has managed to win CQWW SSB (M/2 and M/M), ARRL SSB and ARRL CW (M/2 and M/M) and WPX SSB recently. I'm overwhelmingly a CW nut, though, so most of the PJ2DX operating is in that mode.
Other hobbies include SCUBA diving, and I'm also a Certified Flight Instructor (CFI-AI).
I'm a lifetime legal resident of Curacao, and look forward to many years of DXing from this magic QTH, where it is 85 degrees and sunny 365 days a year.
