Women’s European Volleyball Championships Poland 2009 Award

On the occasion of the Women’s European Championships Volleyball Poland 2009, the Polish Amateur Radio Union (PZK) – the Regional Section of Łódź, together with the Polish Volleyball Association, in order to promote HAM Radio and sport in Poland and abroad – issues a special award:

The award is accessible to all HAMs as well as to SWLs. From 21th September until 4th October, four special event stations will be working on this occasion in Łódź, Bydgoszcz, Katowice and Wrocław, including one additional special occasional station in Łódź, where the whole event will take place – all of them granting points. Furthermore, each QSO made with operators united in the specified Regional Sections during the period mentioned above – will be granting points appropriately, according to the following key:
Special station of the organiser – 150 points
Stations with special occasional callsigns – 100 points
Stations united in relevant Regional Sections of the PZK – 10 points

The award will be issued in 3 categories:
BRONZE – no less than 200 points obtained - at least two QSOs made with the “signed” stations
SILVER – no less than 300 points obtained - at least three QSOs made with the “signed” stations
GOLD – no less than 400 points obtained - at least four QSOs made with the “signed” stations
As a special prize, the special sticker “Excellent” will be issued – for QSOs made with all the special stations!!!

The callsigns of the occasional stations will be assigned to individual places of games, according to the following system:

SN2009L – for the stations working during the A group games (Łódź)
SN2009W – for the stations working during the B group games (Wrocław)
SN2009B – for the stations working during the C group games (Bydgoszcz)
SN2009K – for the stations working during the D group games (Katowice)
SN2009EM – the special station of the organiser (Łódź)

It is not necessary to have QSL cards confirming all the relevant QSOs. All claimers are only requested to send his/her station log to the Award Manager via e-mail: sc444@toya.net.pl („txt.”, „cbr.” or „adif.” format), including the confirmation of the payment in the amount of 10 Euro (coverage of mailing and printing costs).

All award claims should be sent by the end of 2009!!!
The QSL cards for all the QSOs with occasional stations will be sent via the bureau after the termination of the whole event.
QSOs are allowed on all amateur radio bands, on the following modes: CW, SSB, DIGITAL, MIXED.
