SU8LH Dx-Pedition is first activity from an Egyptian Lighthouse The  Dx-Pedition QTH is Ras El-Bar Island ( Not IOTA ) 250 KM from north Cairo. the event period from 1 to 9 August 2009. DX-pedition members: SU1GS, SU1AO, SU1SK             

Thanks for all who contacted or tried to contact SU8LH during the dx-pedition.also thanks for all friends who asked about SU8LH ... We faced a lot of difficulties to put this call on the air. Only 400 QSOs have been made with stations from Europe and a few DX  Stations. we worked just five hours in the end of the event period.! after the team got the 2nd approval .

During operation the website was hijacked by some hackers who deleted the correct info and posted slanderous statements and libel instead. Now everything was restored back to normal, thanks to the attentive help of the QRZ administrators.

we hope to be able to prepare a full scale Lighthouse dx-pedition soon from the same place and participate in The ILLW . We are going to keep you informed.
