7P     - Peter, EI7CC will be active as 7P8PB from Lesotho  on  9-23  March.
         This will be mainly a family holiday, but he will be QRV  from  his
         brother-in-law's (7P8CC) station  when  circumstances  permit.  QSL
         via EI7CC, direct or bureau, and LoTW.
7P     - Frosty, K5LBU and Wayne, W5KDJ will be active as 7P8CF  and  7P8KDJ
         from Lesotho on 11-20 March.  They  plan  to  have  two  full  time
         stations on the air for the entire  period,  on  10-160m  SSB,  CW,
         RTTY and PSK. QSL 7P8CF via K5LBU (direct  and  LoTW),  QSL  7P8KDJ
         via W5KDJ (direct, LoTW and eQSL). Logsearch will be  available  at

9K     - 9K2F has been active from Faylakah Island (AS-118) since  2  March.
         The group will leave the island on the 7th.  QSL  via  9K2HN.  [TNX

9L     - The  new  dates for the  9L5MS  operation from Sierra Leone [425DXN
         1025] are 28 March-18 April. Arie PA3A,  Arie PA3AN, Ad PA8AD,  Bas
         PD0CAV  and Dickson  EL2DT will  operate on 160-6 metres metres CW,
         SSB and RTTY, using three stations with amplifers and several  beam
         and vertical  antennas. They will also give 6m EME a try between 16
         and 20 March. The team will provide  support  and raise funds for a
         Mercy Ships Charity Project.  QSL  via  PA3AWW,  direct  or  bureau

BV     - A group of eight operators will participate in the CQ  WW  WPX  SSB
         Contest  as  BV100  from  Liuchiu  Island  (AS-155).  This  special
         callsign has been used since October 2010 to commemorate the  100th
         anniversary of the Republic of China, and will be active  until  31

CT8    - Look for Roger, CT8/G3SXW and Lionel, CT8/G5LP to  be  active  from
         Sao Miguel Island (EU-003), Azores on 16-17 March. They  expect  to
         operate CW only "for several hours each day". QSL  via  home  calls

CY0    - The Sable Island DXpedition team  was  informed  that  the  weather
         forecast for the scheduled date is not  promising,  and  they  will
         attempt to reach the island earlier than planned.  They  should  be
         able to fly to Sable on 5 March and hopefully be QRV  around  19-21

F     -  The Council of Europe Radio Amateur Club (TP2CE, ewwa.free.fr) will
         be  active as TP50CE on 11-13 and 18 March  to commemorate the 50th
         anniversary of  the  European Social Charter. QSL via  F5LGF. CERAC
         will attend  Ham Radio  in Friedrichshafen,Germany (24-25 June) for
         checking  logs  for  TP2CE,TP20CE, 3A0CE, 40OCE, TP60CE and TP50CE.

FG     - Jean-Pierre, F6ITD will  be  active  as  FG/F6ITD  from  Guadeloupe
         (NA-102) in March. He will  operate  SSB  and  digital  modes  from
         either La Desirade (9-16 March) and Basse-Terre (16-31 March).  QSL

G      - Kevan, 2E0WMG (SSB) and  Jonathan,  G0DVJ  (SSB  and  CW)  will  be
         active from Lundy Island (EU-120) on 21-26 March. They will be  QRV

GJ     - Kazu, JK3GAD (M0CFW) will be active as MJ0CFW from Jersey  (EU-013)
         on  18-21  March.  He  will  be  QRV  on  160-10  metres  and  will
         participate in the Russian DX Contest.  QSL  via  M0CFW  and  LoTW.

HR     - Gerard, F2JD will be active as HR5/F2JD from Copna, Honduras for  a
         couple of months between mid-March and mid-May. He will operate  CW
         and SSB on the HF bands. QSL via F6AJA. [TNX F6AJA]
P4     - Tim, WD9DZV will be active as P40D  from  Aruba  (SA-036)  on  8-13
         March. He plans to operate holiday style on most bands  and  modes.

PJ2    - Jim/N5HZ, Don/W5FKX, David/W5XU and Mike/W5ZPA will  be  active  as
         PJ2/homecall from  Curacao  (SA-099)  on  10-17  March.  They  will
         operate CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK on 160-10 metres from  the  Caribbean
         Contesting Consortium's Signal Point station. QSL via  home  calls,

PY     - Look for PY2XB/1 to  be  active  holiday  style  from  Ilha  Grande
         (SA-029) on 5-9 March. He will operate mainly CW on  40-10  metres.

V2     - Bob, W4OWY (V25WY) and Mark,  W9OP  (V25OP)  will  be  active  from
         Antigua (NA-100) will be active from Antigua  on  8-18  March.  QSL
         via home calls, plus LoTW and eQSL. [TNX NG3K]
V4     - Jeff, K5MV will be active holiday style as V4/K5MV from  St.  Kitts
         (NA-104) on 10-17 March. He  will  operate  SSB  and  CW  on  160-6

V5     - Gert, ZS6AYU will be active as V5/ZS6AYU from various locations  in
         Namibia on 6-16 March.  He  will  operate  holidy  style  on  30-15

VK     - VK3ADO, VK3DQ, VK3EI, VK3FMGF, VK3HJ and  VK3MLM  will  be  leaving
         Yaringa (Victoria) on 20 March on a 40-hour voyage to  Deal  Island
         (OC-195). They plan to operate from the island as  VK7DI  for  four
         days, using CW, SSB and SSTV on the HF bands. QSL via  VK3DQ.  [TNX

VP2V   - Peter G3PHO will be active  as  VP2V/G3PHO  from  Tortola,  British
         Virgin Islands (NA-023) on  11-18  March.  Main  activity  will  be
         concentrated during the  RSGB  Commonwealth  Contest,  outside  the
         contest he will operate holiday style on 80-10 metres CW.  QSL  via

XE     - Ismael, XE1AY and other eleven operators will  be  active  as  XF2P
         from Isla de Lobos (NA-221) from 29  April  to  1  May.  They  will
         operate CW, SSB and RTTY on the HF bands, 6  metres  and  satellite
         (AO27, AO51 and SO50). QSL via XE1AY. [TNX DX World]
ZA     - I2GPT, IK2PGM, IW2HKW, IW2JOP, IZ2BKP and IZ2QCP will be active  as
         ZA/I2GPT from Albania on 9-13 March. They will operate CW  and  SSB
         on 17, 20, 30 and 40 metres. QSL via I2GPT, direct or bureau.

ARRL INTERNATIONAL DX CONTEST (SSB) ---> Object of the contest is  for  W/VE
amateurs to work as many stations in as many DXCC countries as  possible  on
160, 80, 40, 20, 15, and  10  metre  bands,  while  foreign  amateurs  (also
including KH6, KL7, CY9 and CY0) work as many W/VE stations in  as  many  of
the 48 contiguous states and provinces as possible (full rules can be  found
at www.arrl.org/arrl-dx). This year's event will run from from 00.00 UTC  on
5 March through 23.59 UTC on the 6th. Do not forget to give a  look  at  the

www.ng3k.com/Misc/adxs2011.html

CQ MM DX CONTEST ---> The first edition of  the  CQ  Manchester  Mineira  DX
Contest, sponsored by the the Juiz de Fora CW Group, will be held  on  16-17
April. It is a  continuation  of  the  Manchester  Mineira  All  America  CW
Contest, initially limited to Brazil (1993-1996),  then  expanded  first  to
South America (1997-2006) and finally to the Americas (2007-2010).  Il  will
run from 12 UTC on Saturday through 23.59 on Sunday, on 80, 40, 20,  15  and

DX0DX ---> After the failed attempt in January, the DX0DX expedition to  the
Spratly Islands (www.dx0dx.net) [425DXN 1028] has been postponed until  next
year. The Team Leader (Chris Dimitrijevic, VK3FY) says to be "determined  to
recover as much of the costs as possible to put things  right  for  all  the
Team members, Sponsors, organisations and  individuals  involved",  and  "to
put DX0DX off until next year will allow me time to clean up  the  situation
from the first attempt". The new target date is April 2012. [TNX VK3PC]

QSL GALLERY ---> The large collection of QSL cards  on  Les  Nouvelles  DX's
web site has been updated. Thirteen different galleries  include  cards  for
the ten Most Wanted DXCC Entities (333 QSLs), the 58 deleted  DXCC  entities
(1216 QSLs), obsolete prefixes (3252 QSLs), stations from Magrebh from  1947
to 1962 (367 QSLs), D5 and  DL5  stations  from  1945  to  1962  (61  QSLs),
Antarctic bases  (824  QSLs)  &  TAAF  (Terres  Australes  and  Antarctiques
Francaises, 264 QSLs), the  various  French  DXCC  island  Entities  in  the
Pacific Ocean (333 QSLs) & the Indian Ocean (97  QSLs),  pre-1945  countries
(1121 QSLs), French Departments (660 QSLs) and  CONUS  (166  QSLs),  plus  a

QSL PJ7E ---> "We are doing very well getting out QSLs but still have  about
5 mailing trays to confirm yet. Tom,  N4XP,  our  QSL  manager,  expects  to
complete those in the next three weeks. The OQSL will be shut down on  March
4th. The OQSL service has been a huge success with certificates issued  with
the QSLs. All of the OQSLs received at this time have been mailed. ARRL  has
announced that they will soon be issuing the LOTW certificates  to  the  new
PJs [actually  the  PJ  operations  have  already  started  obtaining  their
certificates, and the first logs were uploaded on  4  March,  Ed.].  We  are
ready to upload the logs at that time. The PJ7E  team  thanks  everyone  for

RSGB COMMONWEALTH CONTEST ---> The 74th edition of the  Commonwealth  (BERU)
Contest (www.beru.org.uk) will be held on 12-13 March, from  10  UTC  to  10
UTC, on 80, 40, 20, 15 and 10 metres CW. Only operators located  within  the
Commonwealth or British Mandated  Territories  are  eligible  to  enter,  so
please check the list  at  www.rsgbcc.org/hf/information/codes.shtml  before
calling. 

RTTY MOST WANTED SURVEY ---> All RTTY operators are invited  to  participate
in the RTTY Most Wanted Survey  2011,  conducted  by  K8UT  and  AA5AU.  The
survey  will  be  running  until  20    March    and    can    be  found  at
http://rttysurvey2011.semdxa.org (problems sould  be  reported  directly  to

TOP LISTS ---> The latest Topband, Topmode  and  Toplist  listings  are  now
available  at  www.425dxn.org/awards/toplist/index.html.   QSOs    confirmed

+ SILENT KEYS + Aisea Aisake, 3D2AA passed  away  on  26  February  after  a
short illness, at 62 years of age. He was the on site  reference  and  guide
to those wishing to operate from  Fiji  and  above  all  from  his  homeland
island  of  Rotuma.  Other  recently  reported  Silent  Keys  include  Tapir
Cassiano Araujo Sepulveda (PY6TS) and Evgenij N. Petrov (RW9MD).
