3A     - 3A90IARU   is   the   special  callsign  for  the  Association  des
         Radioamateurs de  Monaco  to  use  from  1  April  to  30  June  in
         celebration of the  90th  anniversary  of  IARU.  QSL  via  3A2ARM,
         direct or bureau, and LoTW. [TNX F6AJA & Les Nouvelles DX]
3A     - Look for Gil, 3A/F4FET  and  Diego,  3A/F4HAU  to  be  active  from
         Monaco on 2-5 April. They  will  operate  SSB  and  RTTY  on  40-10
         metres, with a focus on working North America and  Asia  especially
         on 10 and 12 metres, if propagation permits. QSL via home calls.
5W     - Look for 5W0JY (QSL via JA1JQY),  5W0KJ  (QSL  via  JA1KJW),  5W0MA
         (QSL via JA3MCA) and 5W0VE (QSL via JA8VE) to be active from  Apia,
         Samoa (OC-097) on 9-15 April. They will operate CW,  SSB  and  RTTY
         on all bands with a couple of stations. [TNX NG3K]
DL     - DJ9MD, DK7JAN, DK8MIL and DL7MUK  will  be  active  as  DF0TM  from
         Usedom Island (EU-129) on 27-29 March. They will be QRV  mainly  on
         20 and 40 metres SSB,  hopefully  with  some  PSK  in  the  evening

ET     - Dani, EA4ATI  is  visiting  Addis  Ababa,  Ethiopia  and  has  been
         granted permission to operate the ET3AA station during  the  CQ  WW
         WPX SSB Contest. Operating time will be limited  from  8am  to  8pm
         (local time), and Dani is likely  to  be  QRV  on  10,  15  and  20

FO     - Alan, F6BFH will be  QRV  from  Tahiti  (OC-046)  French  Polynesia
         until 27-28 March, and as  FO/F6BFH/p  from  Nuku  Hiva,  Marquesas
         Islands (OC-027) "around 5 April".  Look  for  him  on  CW  (14045,
         18085, 21045, 24895, 28045  kHz)  and  SSB  (14270,  18145,  21270,
         24970, 28470 kHz). QSL via  home  call,  direct  or  bureau  (email

FW     - Jean-Gabriel, F4CIX is  now  active  as  FW1JG  from  Uvea  (Wallis
         Island, OC-054) through the end of November 2016. He  operates  SSB
         and digital modes on 40, 20, 15, 12, and 10 metres.  Logsearch  and
         OQRS on Club Log.
GM     - Special callsign GB2SUM will be in use  on  4-5  April  during  the
         Royal Air Force Amateur Radio  Society's  "Airfields  On  The  Air"
         event (http://www.qsl.net/g4dqp/Activations.html). The location  is
         the former WWII RAF airfield at Sumburgh on  the  Shetland  Islands
         (EU-012). QSL via MM5PSL, direct only.
GM     - The Camb-Hams will be active as GS3PYE/p  from  the  Isle  of  Mull
         (EU-008) on 15-21 May. A large group of operators will be QRV  with
         multiple stations on 80-10  metres  SSB,  CW,  RTTY  and  PSK;  VHF
         activity  will  be  on  50  MHz,  70  MHz  and   144    MHz    (see
         http://dx.camb-hams.com for exact details). They may do very  short
         side trips to Iona (EU-008) and  the  Treshnish  Islands  (EU-108),
         and will announce these nearer the time on the website. Please  use
         the OQRS provided by Club Log for  direct  or  bureau  cards.  [TNX

HB0   -  A  team   from  the   PI4RAZ  Radio  Club   will  be   active  from
         Liechtenstein on  11-18  April.  Look  for  HB0/PA2HGJ,  HB0/PA2HW,
         HB0/PA2RDK,  HB0/PA3CNO,  HB0/PA3DFR,  HB0/PA3HK,  HB0/PE0MGB   and
         HB0/PE1FLO to be active on 160-10 metres CW,  SSB  and  PSK31.  QSL
         via PE1FLO.
JD1_oga- Once again Makoto, JI5RPT (www.ji5rpt.com/jd1/) will be  active  as
         JD1BLY from Chichijima (AS-031), Ogasawara from 29 April to 5  May.
         He will operate CW, SSB and digital modes on 40-6 metres.  QSL  via

KH0    - Mami, JP3AYQ will be active again as  AH0YL  from  Saipan  (OC-086)
         from 29 March to 1 April. She will  operate  CW,  SSB  and  digital
         modes on 40-6 metres. QSL via home call, direct or bureau (OQRS  on

PY     - PS7AB (SSB) and PP1CZ (CW and digital  modes)  will  be  active  as
         PS70FEB on 1-30 April. This is the fourth of  a  series  of  twelve
         special callsigns;  the  suffix  stands  for  Forca  Expedicionaria
         Brasileira,  the  Brazilian  Expeditionary  Force    that    fought
         alongside the Allied powers in Italy during World War II.  QSL  via

TK     - Alex, IW5ELA will be active holiday style as TK/IW5ELA from  Calvi,
         Corsica (EU-014) on 4-9 April. He will operate mainly CW  on  40-10
         metres. All of the QSOs will be  confirmed  automatically  via  the

UA     - Vasily R7AL and Vasily  R6AL  have  announced  their  plans  to  be
         active  as  R7AL/0  from  the  rare  Malminskiye  Islands  (AS-172,
         activated only once, by RI0CM back in July  2004)  for  three  days
         between 8 and 16 August.  The  place  is  "located  far  away  from
         civilization, the nearest and only one settlement is  Ayan,  40  Km
         away", they say. "Since there is no any vessel available, the  only
         one way is a small fishing motorboat. Two trips, 80 Km each  needed
         to deliver all the equipment and operators to the  island.  Flights
         to Ayan are not regular and depend on weather conditions",  but  if
         "the weather is unfavorable, we'll wait as long as we  can".  Plans
         are to operate SSB and CW on two bands only,  possibly  20  and  17

UR     - Special callsigns with UW31-UW39 prefixes and OA-OZ  suffixes  will
         be  used  for  the  3rd  Ukrainian   Radio    Sport    Championship
         (www.ozchu.org.ua), to be held in the rural area near the  city  of
         Zhytomyr on 6 June, during the first 6 hours of the IARU  R1  Field
         Day CW (15.00-20.59 UTC). QSL via UY5XE. [TNX UY5XE]
VE    -  David,  VY0/VE3VID  is  about  going  QRT   from   Igloolik  Island
         (NA-174), after being active thrice a year  since  March  2013.  He
         plans to be QRV on 20 metres RTTY on 28-29 March and 4  April,  and
         hopefully also on  11-12  April.  QSL  via  home  call,  direct  or

VE     - Pierre, VE3KTB might be active as VE3KTB/VY0 from the McGill Arctic
         Research Station on Axel Heiberg Island (NA-043) "sometime  in  the
         first week of April". [TNX The Daily DX]
VK     - The Australian and New Zealand  Army  Corps  (ANZAC)  was  a  First
         World War army corps of the Mediterranean Expeditionary Force  that
         was formed in Egypt in 1915  and  operated  during  the  Battle  of
         Gallipoli. Special callsign VK100ANZAC will be in  use  between  25
         April and 20 December "for significant  event  dates  covering  all
         conflicts where Australian forces have  been  involved  from  WW1".
         State  and  Territory  special  callsigns   (VI1ANZAC,    VI2ANZAC,
         VI3ANZAC,  etc)  are  available  on  a  roster  basis  until    the
         conclusion of the  WIA  Remembrance  Day  contest  (15-16  August).

VK9N   - Four Oceania DX Group members (namely Chris VK3QB, Luke VK3HJ,  Roy
         VK3GB and Oly VK3XDX/5)  will  be  active  as  VK9NT  from  Norfolk
         Island (OC-005) from 24 April to 4 May. They plan  to  operate  SSB
         and CW on 160-10 metres, with two stations "as often as  possible".
         QSL via VK2CA,  direct  or  bureau,  preferably  through  the  OQRS
         provided by Club Log.  Logs  will  uploaded  to  LoTW  as  soon  as

YB     - Adhi, YB3MM had to cancel his trip to OC-250 [425DXN 1245]  due  to
         circumstances beyond his control. However, he will  participate  in
         the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest as YB3MM/p from  Gili  Genting  (OC-237).

         Din YB8RW has been active as YB8RW/3 from Masalembu Besar  (OC-250)
         since 24 March and will be there until the 27th.  He  has  extended
         his trip and will go and be QRV also from Karamian Island  (OC-250)
         on 28-29 March and Masalembu Kecil (OC-250)  from  30  March  to  1

YB     - Special  callsign  YE533KC  will  be  in  use  on   2-3  April   to
         commemorate the 533rd anniversary of Cirebon  Regency,  West  Java.
         Expect activity on 15 metres SSB, CW and RTTY, as  well  as  on  40
         and 80m SSB. QSL direct (see qrz.com) and LoTW.
YB     - Special event station YB200T  will  be  active  on  5-11  April  to
         commemorate the 200th  anniversary  of  Mount  Tambora's  eruption.
         Mount Tambora is  an  active  volcano  on  the  island  of  Sumbawa
         (OC-150), whose 1815 catastrophic explosive event  is  the  largest
         volcanic eruption in recorded history. QSL via W2FB.
ZD8    - Steve, G3ZVW will be active again as  ZD8N  from  Ascension  Island
         (AF-003) on 9-21 April. He will be QRV in his  spare  time  (during
         his early morning and evening hours, and over the weekends) on  the
         HF bands CW, SSB and RTTY. QSL via G3ZVW, direct  or  bureau.  [TNX

ZL7    - John ZL1ALZ, John ZL1BYZ and David ZL1DK will  be  active  as  ZL7E
         from Kaingaroa, Chatham Islands (OC-038) on 3-15 April.  They  will
         operate CW, SSB and RTTY on 40-10 metres  with  two  stations.  QSL
         via Club Log's OQRS (for  both  direct  and  bureau  requests)  and

ARRL CENTENNIAL QSO PARTY ---> The  window  to  apply  for  ARRL  Centennial
Points  Challenge  and  W1AW  Worked  All  States  awards    is   now  open:
https://centennial-qp.arrl.org.  Certificates  will  be  available  for  the
Centennial Points Challenge Award, while W1AW WAS  Award  participants  will
have the option of a certificate or a  plaque.  Certificates  are  $16,  and
plaques are $60.
As for QSLling, US  stations  that  worked  W1AW/p  and  W100AW  during  the
Centennial may request QSL  cards  via  the  Incoming  QSL  Service  on  the
Centennial  QSO  Party  web  page  (www.arrl.org/centennial-qso-party#QSLs).
Cards destined for stations outside the US will be sent via the QSL  Bureau.
Direct cards should be sent to W1AW, 225 Main St., Newington CT 06111,  USA.
W1AW/p and W100AW will not confirm every contact on  the  traditional  paper
QSL cards, but will confirm QSOs for each  mode  and  on  most  bands  on  a
single card for each weekly operation.

CASS AWARD ---> Presented annually, the Cass Award honours  the  wisdom  and
spirit of Cass WA6AUD  (SK)  and  encourages  DXpeditions  to  maximize  the
number  of  DXers  worked  with  a  $1000  prize  for  the   Single-Operator
DXpedition that works the most unique callsigns over  a  two-week  interval.
The 2014 Cass Award has been won by Nigel Cawthorne, G3TXF: "While QRV  from
the island of Tristan da Cunha as  ZD9XF  in  September  2014,  Nigel  G3TXF
worked 9314 unique  stations  during  the  first  14  days  of  his  one-man
DXpedition, demonstrating an outstanding effort to  log  as  many  DXers  as
possible and setting a new Single-Operator  Cass  Award  record".  Club  Log
founder Michael Wells, G7VJR presented Nigel with his plaque  and  prize  at
the CDXC Annual Dinner is on 21 March. If you are  interested  in  competing
for  -  or  contributing  to  -  the  2015   Cass    Award,    please  visit

DX0P ---> The website for the 14-20  April  DXpedition  to  Pagasa,  Spratly
Islands  [425DXN  1246]  is  now  up  and  running  at  www.dx0p.org.  Eight
operators will be active on 160-10 metres ("may include  WARC  bands")  SSB,
CW, RTTY and JT-65. QSL via WA6LOS; logsearch on Club Log.

IOTA DINNER ---> The 20th Annual Islands On The Air (IOTA)  Dinner  will  be
held on 17 April at the Visalia Conference Center in  conjunction  with  the
66th  International   DX    Convention.    Details    can    be    found  at
www.dxconvention.com/pages/dinners-iota.html.  There  will  be    IOTA  card
checking available and a IOTA/IREF table in the Convention Center  promoting
the IOTA program and the IREF. Registration for the IOTA  Dinner  closes  on

IOTA HONOUR ROLL ---> The 2015 Honour Roll and  Annual  Listings  have  been
posted  on  the  IOTA  website  (www.rsgbiota.org/info/)  and  on  the  IOTA
Manager's website (www.g3kma.dsl.pipex.com). It  is  noticeable  how  scores
are now beginning to bunch, closing in on the top position at  1110  groups.
168 record-holders have scores over 1000 and  484  over  750  which  is  the
