3D2/R  - Now Tony, 3D2AG expects to be QRV  as 3D2AG/p from  Rotuma (OC-060)
         [425DXN 1349] on  2-22 April.  He  plans  to  operate  CW, SSB  and
         digital modes  on 160-2 metres,  60m included.  QSL via 3D2AG;  see

5T     - Jean, 5T0JL has been authorized to use  special  callsign  5T3MM on
         12-18 April; look  for  him  especially  during  the  CQ Manchester

CE0Y   - Eliot, W1MJ will be active holiday style as CE0Y/W1MJ  from  Easter
         Island (SA-001) on 2-6 April. He will operate QRP on 40, 30, 20 and

CT9    - Operating  from  the  CR3A  site, the  Madeira  Contest  Team  will
         participate in the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest as CT3EE.  The callsign is
         a memorial to Luis Camacho, CT3EE, who passed away on 18 March.
CX     - Radiogrupo Sur will be active again  as  CV5A  from  Isla de Flores
         (SA-030) (http://cv5a.cx.uy/)  from  30 March to 2 April.  A  large
         team will  be QRV  on various  bands  and  modes.  QSL direct  only

E5_nc  - The website for the E51LYC  expedition to  Pukapuka Atoll (OC-098),
         North  Cook  Islands [425DXN  1350]  is   now  up  and  running  at
         http://e51lyc.weebly.com. The operation will take place between  11
         and 23 May. Cezar, VE3LYC will be QRV on  40-10 metres  SSB and CW.
         "Propagation  paths will  be  studied  to  ensure that  appropriate
         windows are identified to all regions of the world".  Johan, PA3EXX
         will be the pilot for the  expedition; requests  for time  windows,
         bands and modes of operation should be emailed directly to him. QSL

         Spain CW  Contest  (20-21 May, from 12 UTC to 12 UTC) as  ED9T from
         Melilla. On 18-19 May they will  be  signing EG9TOR on CW,  SSB and

GD     - Members of the Barry Amateur Radio Society will be active as GT4BRS
         from the Isle of Man (EU-116) on 15-22 April.  Seven operators will

         5Mhz "to give all time new one on 60 metres" especially to the west

         October to celebrate the Inuyama Festival, one of  the  33 Japanese
         float festivals that in 2016 UNESCO inscribed to the Representative
         List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage  of Humanity.  QSL via the

KH6    - Nobu,  JA0JHQ  (http://pandasan.jimdo.com/)  will  be   active   as
         AH0C/KH6  from  Ohau (OC-019),  Hawaii on  7-9 April.  He plans  to
         operate CW on  80-15 metres, with  main activity  during the  Japan
         International DX CW Contest (from 7 UTC on 8 April to 13 UTC on the

OH0    - Ari, OH3KAV will be active holiday style as  OF0KA from  the  Aland
         Islands (EU-002) on 22-26 April. The OF prefix celebrates Finland's
         100 years  of  independence.  He  will operate  CW,  JT65 and  JT9,

OX     - Roger, SM7RYR will  be  active  as  OX/SM7RYR  from  Kangerlussuaq,
         Greenland (NA-018) on 6-10 April.  He will be QRV with 10 watts  on

RI1F   - A large team will be active as RI1F from  Victoriya Island (EU-190,
         new one for IOTA) in late September.  They expect to depart on  the
         23rd, and to  reach  their  destination after  three  or four days,
         depending on  sea  conditions.  DXCC wise, this island  is part  of

UA     - The Radio Marathon "Moscow-870" [425DXN 1340] is  running  until 31
         December. Special callsigns to be  active  next  month  are  R1147M
         (1-10 April), R1605M (11-20 April) and R870O (21-30 April).Detailed

VE     - Doug, VA7DP is active  as XL7100  from  23 March to 22 April.  This
         commemorative special callsign marks the centenary of the Battle of
         Vimy Ridge, fought in northern France in April 1917. QSL via VA7DP,

VE     - XO1X is a  special  callsign  for  the  Yukon  CanAm  Contest  Club
         to   celebrate  the   150th  anniversary  of Canada's Confederation
         until 31 December.  Multi-single entries in both the WPX SSB and CW

VP9    - Adrian, KO8SCA will be active  as KO8SCA/VP9 from  Bermuda (NA-005)
         on 25-26 March. He will operate SSB, CW  and digital  modes on 160,

VQ9    - Jim, ND9M has received the requested VQ917JC license [425DXN 1350].
         His operating  hours are  still limited  to  12-16 UTC, and he  is
         likely to focus on 30, 20 and 17 metres "just to get VQ9 into  some

XE     - The XF2L activity from Isla de Lobos (NA-221), which was  scheduled
         for 24-26 March [425DXN 1350], has been cancelled  owing  to strong
         wind and bad  weather conditions.  Hopefully it will be rescheduled
         on 26-28 May.
YJ     - Chung, VA7YM will be active as  YJ0YM from  Efate (OC-035), Vanuatu
         on 6-17 April. He will operate SSB, RTTY and PSK31  on 80-6 metres.

CQ MM DX CONTEST ---> The fifth  edition  of  the  CQ Manchester  Mineira DX
Contest, sponsored by the the  Juiz de Fora CW Group, will  be held on 15-16
April. It will run from 12 UTC on  Saturday  through 23.59 on  Sunday on 80,

KC0W WORLDWIDE  DXPEDITION ---> "My  next  multi  continent  DXpedition will
start 17 April, 2017", KC0W reported  on qrz.com.  Neither Equatorial Guinea
nor Annobon  will be  included in  Tom's tour, as he  was unable  to get the
licenses.  Nonetheless, "these upcoming  DXpeditions  should  still generate
good interest".  Usually he  operates  CW only, but he is  "also considering
operating RTTY & PSK due to high need".

UA     - The Radio Marathon "Moscow-870" [425DXN 1340] is  running  until 31
         December. Special callsigns to be  active  next  month  are  R1147M
         (1-10 April), R1605M (11-20 April) and R870O (21-30 April).Detailed

VE     - Doug, VA7DP is active  as XL7100  from  23 March to 22 April.  This
         commemorative special callsign marks the centenary of the Battle of
         Vimy Ridge, fought in northern France in April 1917. QSL via VA7DP,

VE     - XO1X is a  special  callsign  for  the  Yukon  CanAm  Contest  Club
         to   celebrate  the   150th  anniversary  of Canada's Confederation
         until 31 December.  Multi-single entries in both the WPX SSB and CW

VP9    - Adrian, KO8SCA will be active  as KO8SCA/VP9 from  Bermuda (NA-005)
         on 25-26 March. He will operate SSB, CW  and digital  modes on 160,

         on Club Log. During the  CQ WW WPX SSB Contest  he  will  be  using

VQ9    - Jim, ND9M has received the requested VQ917JC license [425DXN 1350].
         His operating  hours are  still limited  to  12-16 UTC, and he  is 
         likely to focus on 30, 20 and 17 metres "just to get VQ9 into  some

XE     - The XF2L activity from Isla de Lobos (NA-221), which was  scheduled
         for 24-26 March [425DXN 1350], has been cancelled  owing  to strong
         wind and bad  weather conditions.  Hopefully it will be rescheduled
         on 26-28 May.
YJ     - Chung, VA7YM will be active as  YJ0YM from  Efate (OC-035), Vanuatu
         on 6-17 April. He will operate SSB, RTTY and PSK31  on 80-6 metres.

CQ MM DX CONTEST ---> The fifth  edition  of  the  CQ Manchester  Mineira DX
Contest, sponsored by the the  Juiz de Fora CW Group, will  be held on 15-16
April. It will run from 12 UTC on  Saturday  through 23.59 on  Sunday on 80,

KC0W WORLDWIDE  DXPEDITION ---> "My  next  multi  continent  DXpedition will
start 17 April, 2017", KC0W reported  on qrz.com.  Neither Equatorial Guinea
nor Annobon  will be  included in  Tom's tour, as he  was unable  to get the
licenses.  Nonetheless, "these upcoming  DXpeditions  should  still generate
good interest".  Usually he  operates  CW only, but he is  "also considering
operating RTTY & PSK due to high need".
