In a press release dated 9 June,  Ralph Fedor (K0IR) and Bob Allphin  (K4UEE)
announced that  "contracts have  been signed  with two  Chilean companies  to
provide a vessel  and helicopter for  the DXpedition to  Peter I,  Antarctica
during January/February 2006.   The  actual dates  of the  operation will  be
released on or about September 1,  2005, but the general  time frame will  be
between January 16 and the end of February, 2006".
Nine stations will be active as 3Y0X on all bands and modes; it is the team's
objective to  be at  Peter I  for a  minimum of  two weeks,  with the  actual
operating time to be determined by weather and set-up time.
Most of the members of the 2005 team will participate in the 2006 DXpedition,
but there are several slots  available for new  team members. Contact  either
K4UEE (mallphin@aol.com) or K0IR (rfedor@cloudnet.com) for more information.
The team will be putting up  approximately 70% of the DXpedition's  expenses,
but  additional  contributions  from  sponsors  are  being  sought.  Detailed

9A      - Special event  station  9A10KC is  active  through  31  December  to
          celebrate the 10th  anniversary of the  Community for the  Technical
          Culture of the City of Koprivnica. QSL via 9A7K. [TNX F5NQL]
EA      - Josep/EA3GM, Rafael/EA3QA, Mai/EA3EGC and Miquel/EC3AMR will operate
          as ED3MED from Isla Meda Grande (EU-078, DIE E-001) on 19 June. They
          will be active in the Spanish Islands (DIE) Contest on 40 metres SSB
          and CW. QSL via EA3RCG. [TNX VA3RJ]
GM      - Lorraine, MM0BCR  will operate  from a  couple of  Scottish  islands
          during the weekend.  Look for her  from Crammond Island  on 11  June
          (from around 9 UTC until around 13 UTC) and Ardwall Island, Isles of
          Fleet on 12 June (from around  7 UTC until around  11 UTC). QSL  via

GM      - Geoff, G0PFH will  operate on 20  and 40  metres SSB  as GS2UG  from
          Great Cumbrae Island (EU-123) on 14-15 June. QSL via home call. [TNX

GM      - Peter (MM5PSL),  Roger  (MM1FJM),  Lars  (DF1LON/MM0LON)  and  Georg
          (DL1ECG/MM0ECG) will participate in the IOTA Contest as MM0ECG  from
          Eshaness Lighthouse on Shetland Mainland  (EU-012). QSL via  DL1ECG,
          direct or bureau.  Expect some activity  also before  and after  the

HB0     - Bon,  DK1EAW  reports   he  will  be   active  as  HB0/DK1EAW   from
          Liechtenstein on 22-23 June. He plans to be operate mainly CW on the
          HF and VHF bands. QSL via home call, direct or bureau.
I       - Alfredo, IK7JWX  reports  that IR7LH/p  will  be used  from  various
          Italian lighthouses between now and 31 December. Expect activity  to
          take place mainly during the weekends; the operators will be Alfredo
          himself and Vincenzo, I7PXV (CW). QSL via IK7JWX, bureau or direct.
I       - ARI Versilia will activate special event station II5MD on 10-12 June
          for the "Meucci  Day". Antonio Meucci  was recognized  as the  first
          inventor of  the telephone  by the  United States  Congress, in  its
          resolution 269 dated 11 June 2002. [TNX Info Radio by I1SCL]
I       - The Egadi DX Team will operate from Santa Maria Island (EU-166,  IIA
          TP-020) on 18-19  June. During  the weekends  in July  plans are  to
          operate from Isola Grande (EU-166, IIA  TP-021) and, sea  conditions
          permitting, from Scogli Porcelli (EU-054, IIA TP-008). All QSLs  via

I       - Look for IZ7AUH/p,  IZ7FLP/p and  IZ7FLQ/p to  operate from  Taranto
          Vecchia (not  IOTA, IIA  TA-004) on  22 June  and from  Isola  della
          Scogliera (not IOTA, IIA LE-019)  on the 27th.  QSL via home  calls,
          direct or bureau. [TNX IZ7AUH]
I       - IK8UND, IK8HCG and IK8TEO  will join Virgilio,  IC8OZM for the  IOTA
          Contest. The  will be  signing IC8OZM  from  the island  of  Procida
          (EU-031). QSL via home call. [TNX IC8OZM]
JA      - Look for JA1KJW/8, JJ1JGI/8, JK1EBA/8 and  7N4AGB/8 to operate  from
          Rebun Island  (AS-147,  JIIA AS-147-006)  on  15-18  June  and  from
          Rishiri Island (AS-147, JIIA AS-147-007) on 18-21 June. QSL via home
          calls, direct or bureau. [TNX JI6KVR]
KH0     - JA6CNL and JA6AGA will operate as KH0N and WH0C from Saipan (OC-086)
          on 18-22 June. Outside the All-Asian DX Contest they will operate on
          the WARC  bands and  160 metres  CW (1820/1910  KHz). QSL  via  home

KH2     - Yoshi, JE2EHP reports he will be  active on 160-6 metres SSB and  CW
          as K1HP/KH2 from  Guam (OC-026)  on 17-19  June. QSL  via bureau  to
          JE2EHP.
OZ      - Jakob, OZ7AEI reports  he plans to  operate on 20  and 40 metres  as
          OZ7AEI/p from three EU-171 islands - namely Jegindo (NJ-006),  Agero
          (NJ-018) and Mors (NJ-002) - on 16 June starting around 7 UTC.
SM      - Martin, SM0DTK will operate as SM0DTK/1 from Gotland Island (EU-020)
          between 18 June and 28 August. [TNX SM0DTK]
SV      - Thanks to the help provided by  Spiros, SV8CS, Daniele, IK0REH  will
          operate on 10-80 metres  CW and SSB  as SV8/IK0REH/p from  Zakynthos
          (EU-052) from 15 June to 5  July. QSL via home call, preferably  via

TA      - Dov, 4Z4DX will be active as TA4/4Z4DX from Antalya, Turkey on 11-14
          June. He  also  hopes to  go  and operate  from  one of  the  AS-115

TK      - Bon, DK1EAW will participate  in the IOTA  Contest as TK/DK1EAW  (CW
          only, 24h) from Corsica (EU-014). Prior to contest activity he  will
          also be QRV on the WARC bands. QSL via home call, direct or  bureau.

UA      - RW0LC, RW0LBM and RU0LM will operate as RK0LWP/0 from Opasnij Island
          (RRA New) on 10-12 June. QSL via RU0LM. [TNX RW0LBM]
UA      - Ten operators from  the Starosherbinovskaya  ARC will  be active  as
          RW6AWW/p from Sazalniksky Lighthouse (ARLHS ERU-174, RLE-026 for the
          Russian Lighthouse Award) on 11-12  June. They plan  to run both  CW
          and SSB with two stations on the air. QSL via RW6CW. [TNX RW6CW]
UA      - Weather permitting, a group of operators  will be active (on 40,  20
          and possibly  17 and  15 metres)  as UE0ISL  from either  Zav'yalova
          (AS-059) or Nedorazumeniya  Island (AS-059) on  11-13 June.  Another

UA      - Vlad, RZ1OA  and Dima,  UA1OLM will  be active  from Kumbysh  Island
          (EU-153, RRA 02-42)  on 12-14 June  . QSL via  RZ1OA (Vlad  Sadakov,

UA      - RN1NA, RA6LBS, RK3FA and UA6BGB plan to operate as UE1NLO from a few
          islands (not IOTA, RRA-New)  located in Lake  Ladoga on 14-20  June.

VE      - Doug, VA7DP has  been granted permission  to operate  as VA7YVET  to
          commemorate the "Year of the  Veteran" from 4  June through 4  July.
          QSl direct only to VA7DP.
VE      - Pete, VE3IKV will operate on 6 metres as VD2X from Zone 2 (Labrador)
          in early  July. The  purpose of  his travel  is  to study  the  high
          latitude sporadic-E propagation in North  America and the  influence
          of the proximity of the geomagnetic  North Pole. QSL via home  call.
          The special  callsign commemorates  the  100th anniversary  of  Mina
          Hubbard's trek across Labrador (http://www.mina2005.ca/mwm/2) and it
          will be be operational between 15 June and 15 July. QSL via  VE3IKV.

W       - Bill, N8PW  will  be  active as  N8PW/1  from  Mount  Desert  Island
          (NA-055) on 13-18 June. He plans  to operate as time permits on  40,

W       - Kyle/W4KTF, Jim/KI4FVT  and Sandra/KI4HVG  will  be active  on  40-6
          metres SSB as homecall/p from Emerald  Isle (NA-112) on 12-19  June.

425 DX NEWS MAGAZINE  ---> The latest  issue (May 2005)  is now available  in
.pdf format at http://www.425dxn.org/monthly/. It includes  the story of  the
expedition to the Salut  Islands (TO7C), the  latestinformation on the  KP1-5
Project and "The Way We Were" (a selection of information published by 425DXN
ten years ago), as well as  the usual features  and several images.  Articles

10M CONTEST ---> The third edition of the 10 Meter Italian Contest, sponsored
by the Mediterraneo DX Club (http://www.mdxc.org/contestitalia.asp), will  be
held on 25-26 June. Participation is limited to Italian amateurs only.

DXCC NEWS --->  The following operation  is approved for  DXCC credit:  HZ1EX
(Saudi Arabia) from 27 October 2004 through 31 December 2005.

QSL TT8M & TT8AMO ---> All of TT8M cards have been answered, except for a few
'problem' cards. Dennis, PA7FM expects the  TT8AMO cards from the printer  in
the upcoming week, and he will try clear the bakclog before the end of  June.
Pierre, TT8AMO will be  in Chad for  about one more  week before leaving  the
country for a well deserved break.  Michael, TT8M will return  to Chad on  16
June; he plans to concentrate on 6 and 2 metres and to try EME. On-line  logs

QSL YE3K --->  The cards for  the March  2005 operation  from Kangean  Island
(OC-217) have been printed; requests received by IZ8CCW will be processed and
mailed in a few days' time. [TNX IZ8CCW]

+ SILENT KEY + Eric Esposito, FK8GM reports that Eddy Szymanski, FK8CR became
a silent key on 8 June. Over the  years he was very active, and  participated
in the first  IOTA DXpeditions to  the Chesterfield  Islands (FK5C,  February
1993) and to Matthew Island (FK5M, December 1996).
