9A      - Chris/DL9CHR,   Georg/DL1GEO,   Heli/DH1ABC,   Wolfgang/DJ3MWB   and
           Emir/9A6AA will operate (on 20 and 40 metres SSB, CW and RTTY)  from
           various Croatian islands in the EU-170 IOTA group between 17 and  24
           October.     Further     information     can     be     found     at

CT      - Scout Group Vale de Milhacos will  participate in the 48th  Jamboree
           on  the  Air  (JOTA)  on  15-16   October  as  CT7AVM.  A  list   of
           participating    Portuguese    stations    can    be    found     at
           http://www.cne-escutismo.pt/radioescutismo/inscritos.htm
DL      - Wolfgang, DK7UY  will  be  active  as  DK7UY/P  from  Ruegen  Island
           (EU-057) from 22 October to  4 November. He  will operate mainly  CW
           and digital modes on 10-80 metres  (maybe 160 metres as well),  with
           some SSB  during the  CQ WW  DX Contest.  All of  the QSOs  will  be
           confirmed automatically via the bureau. [TNX DK7UY]
F       - Francois, F5JNE and Claude, F5MCC will operate on 40 metres SSB  and
           CW as F5JNE/p from Ile du  Petit Moulin de la Scierie (DIFI  89042R)
           and Ile au  Cornu (DIFI  89043R) on  15 October.  Both these  inland
           islands do not count for IOTA. QSL via bureau. [TNX F5NQL]
G       - The Bittern DX Group (http://www.bittern-dxers.org.uk/) will operate
           special event  station GB2NNC  (Norfolk  Nelson's County)  on  21-23
           October to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the death of Horatio
           Nelson at Trafalgar. They will be  transmitting from North  Walsham,
           where both Horatio and his  brother went to  school. QSL via  M0CNP.

GM      - Leo, W3LEO will once again be  active as MM0LEO from Portpatrick  in
           southwest Scotland from about 17  October to 21  November, CQ WW  DX
           SSB Contest included. QSL via home call.
GW      - Special event call GB200HNT will aired from the HMS Cambria,  docked
           in Sully, South Wales on 21-23 October. This operation by the  Barry
           ARS will mark  the 200 year  anniversary of  Horatio Nelson's  naval
           victory at Trafalgar.  QSL via GW0ANA,  direct or  bureau. [TNX  The

HI      - Bob, W9XY  and Steve,  K9WD will  operate as  homecall/HI7 from  the
           Dominican Republic (NA-096)  on 16-22  October. They  will have  two
           separate stations, and activity will be on 40-10 metres CW and  SSB,
           with a possibility of some 6m as well, mainly during their evenings.

HR      - Ray, WQ7R will  be active as  HR9/WQ7R from  Roatan Island  (NA-057)
           from 22 October to 4 November. He will operate in his spare time  on
           the HF bands RTTY, PSK and CW, plus CW and SSB on 6 metres. He  will
           also participate in the CQ WW DX SSB Contest as HQ9R. QSLs via N6FF.

HS      - The Siam DX Group has been  issued the contest callsign HS0AR to  be
           used until 31 December from the QTH of E21YDP. They will participate
           in the CQ WW DX SSB  Contest as a Multi-Two  entry. QSL via  E21YDP.

I       - Pino/IZ8BGY, Antonio/IZ8CCW  and  Davide/IZ8ESX  will  operate  from
           Scogli Coreca (not IOTA, IIA CS-004) on 15 October.
I       - Special calls  II0SRT (QSL  via IZ0BTV),  II1SRT (QSL  via  IZ1GJK),
           II2SRT (QSL  via I2JJR),  II3SRT (QSL  via I3BQC),  II5SRT (QSL  via
           IZ5BTC), II6SRT (QSL  via IZ6FZS), II7SRT  (QSL via IZ7FLT),  II8SRT
           (QSL via  IZ8EDJ),  IO8SRT (QSL  via  IK8WEJ) and  II9SRT  (QSL  via
           IT9MUF) will be aired on  21-23 October for  the Strange Radio  Team
           special  event.  Proceeds  beyond  out-of-pocket  expenses  will  be
           donated    to     charity.    Information     is    available     at

I       - Stefano, IW2NNZ  will operate  SSB and CW  from  Scanno di Piallazza
           (EU-155, IIA FE-001) during the weekend.
LU      - The L95WI operation from Isla La Escondida (SA-NEW) [425DXN 743] has
           been cancelled  for  the  time  being  because  a  written  official
           permission has not been  received so far.  However, there are  still
           hopes for the operation to take place in the future.
PA      - Special call PI25SRS/J will be aired during the Jamboree on the  Air
           (JOTA) on 15-16 October to the celebrate the JOTA Silver Jubilee  in
           Spijkenisse, The Netherlands. [TNX PD0RSF]
S2      - Special station S21SHQ will be aired during the Jamboree On The  Air
           (JOTA) on  15-16  October from  the  Chandranath Hills  (800  metres
           a.s.l.) in Chittagong district  of Bagladesh. Look  for them on  +/-
           7090, 14290, 18140, 21360 and 28390 kHz. QSL via S21D (Aminul Kawser
           Khan, Deputy  National  Commissioner, Bangladesh  Scouts,  P.O.  Box

SM      - Fred, SM7DAY and Jan, SM7NGH will operate CW and SSB from Ven Island
           (EU-137) and Hakens  Lighthouse (WLH 0780,  ARLHS SWE-168) on  19-21
           October. QSL via home calls, direct or bureau. [TNX SM7NGH]
SU      - Harve, F5RMY will operate as SU/F5RMY  from Egypt on 22-29  October,
           including some activity in the CQ  WW SSB DX  Contest. QSL via  home

SV      - Hellmuth, DF7XE will  be active as  SV8/DF7XE/P from Thassos  Island
           (EU-174) on 14-23 October. He plans to operate on 80-10 metres  SSB,
           CW, PSK31 and RTTY. QSL via home call. [TNX www.rsgbiota.org]
UN      - Special station UO15I will  be aired on  22-25 October to  celebrate
           the 15th anniversary  of the Republic  of Kazakhstan. A  certificate
           will be available to either licenced amateurs and SWLs for  contacts
           made with Kazakhstan stations during that time frame; please contact
           Sergey N. Borissov,  UN1II (un1ii@qrz.ru)  for further  information.

VK9     - David, VK2CZ (VK9XD, QSL  via VK6NE) and  Charlie, W0YG (VK9XG,  QSL
           direct to home call) will  be active from  Christmas Island from  23
           October to 6 November (including an entry as VK9XD during the CQ  WW
           SSB Contest). After that, Charlie will go and operate as VK9CG  (QSL
           direct to home call) from Cocos-Keeling  on 8-21 November. [TNX  The

XU      - Rich/DK8YY (XU7AYY), Ingolf/DL4JS  (XU7AJS), Detlef/DL3ALI  (XU7ALI)
           and Kuni/DL3JVN (XU7AVN) will operate SSB, CW and digital modes from
           Cambodia on 16-28  October. QSL for  all via  DH7WW, direct  (Ulrich
           Moeckel, Muldenstr. 1, 08304 Schoenheide,  Germany) or bureau.  [TNX

WORLD TOUR  --->  Seppo, OH1VR  and  Juhani, OH3SR  will  be  travelling  and
operating around the world between  24 October and  13 December. Their  World

Excellence,  Honour Rolls,  Basic Awards  and   Operator Certificates  issued

NOT THE MANAGER ---> Branko, 9A7YY reports  that DL5DAN is listed as his  QSL
manager in  a few  online resources.  However Branko  has never  had any  QSL
manager, cards should be sent to his home call direct or via the bureau.

QSL ER4DX ---> Gene, UT7ND reports  he no longer the  QSL manager for  Willy,

RTTY SURVEY  ---> The  results of  the 2005  RTTY Most  Needed DXCC  Entities
Survey  [425DXN   746]  are   now  available   on  Don,   AA5AU's  web   site

of the  top 240  entities and  their final  ranking, as  well as  the top  50
