4J      - Mir, UA3FDX and  Pavel, RA3AUM will  be active as  4J0DX and  4J0AUM
          from Azerbaijan on 17-27  March. They will  operate on 10-80  metres
          (possibly on 160 metres as well) SSB and CW and will participate  in
          either the Russian DX and CQ WPX SSB contests as 4J0DX. QSL for both
          stations via UA3FDX, direct or bureau.
5Z      - Mike, OM2DX and Palo, OM2NW are active as 5Z4/OM2DX (QSL via  OM3JW)
          and 5Z4/OM2NW (QSL  via home call)  from Kenya until  6 March.  [TNX

J7      - Igor, VA3YDX  reports  he  will be  active  from  Dominica  from  24
          February until 14 March. He plans to participate in the ARRL DX  SSB
          Contest and the DIG QSO Party.  QSL direct only via home call  (Igor
          Slakva, 105 La Rose Ave., #803, Etobicoke, ON M9P 1A9, Canada).
8R      - Ken, K7ZUM and Craig, AH8DX  will operate as  8R1ZUM and 8R1EA  from
          Guyana from 28 February to 7  March. Before the ARRL SSB DX  Contest
          expect activity mostly  on RTTY  and the  WARC bands.  QSL via  home

9H      - Texas DX  Society's  members Cal/WF5W  (9H3W),  Steve/W9DX  (9H3DX),
          Madison/W5MJ (9H3V), Don/N5DD (9H3RY), Bill/K5WAF (9H3WF), Mike/K5UO
          (9H3UO), Paul/W5PF (9H3PF)  and Keith/NM5G (9H3KD)  will operate  on
          10-80 metres and possibly on 160  metres from Malta (EU-023) on  1-8
          March. They  will  participate in  the  ARRL  International  DX  SSB
          Contest (4-5  March); during  non-contest periods  primary  activity
          will be 9H3DX on SSB, 9H3V  on CW, 9H3RY on RTTY  and 9H3WF on  PSK.

9M2     - Aniko, HA5TAA  plans to  operate as  9M2/HA5TAA from  Tioman  Island
          (AS-046) for a  week between  3 and  11 March.  Look for  her on  20
          metres SSB. [TNX F5NQL]
AP      - Dane, ST2T is  now in Pakistan  until the end  of March.  He has  no
          chance to get an AP licence, but he will try to be active from Ijaz,
          AP2IA's station (QSL via AP2IA). [TNX S57DX]
C6      - Peter, W2IRT  will operate  holiday style  as C6/W2IRT  from  Nassau
          (NA-001), Bahamas on 4-10 March. He plans to be on 17 and 20  metres
          for the  most part,  using 100W  and a  dipole.  QSL via  home  call

EA8     - Mari, EA8GL and Dunia, EA8BHD will operate as ED8IWD on 5-8 March to
          celebrate        the        International        Women's         Day
          (http://www.internationalwomensday.com/events/). QSL  via bureau  to

F       - Special call TM5CMC  (Catastrophe des Mines  de Courrieres) will  be
          aired on 4-19 March to commemorate the Courrieres mining disaster of
          10 March 1906,  when 1,100 died  in a coal  dust explosion. QSL  via

F       - Three YL operators will be active  as TP1CE from  the radio club  at
          the Council of Europe on 11-12 March to celebrate the  International
          Women's Day. QSL via F5LGF. [TNX F6FQK]
FG      - Gildas, FG/F6HMQ and Michel, FG/F6GWV will be active from Guadeloupe
          (NA-102) from 25 February to 6 March. They will also operate as TO1T
          (QSL via F6HMQ) and will participate in the REF SSB (25-26 February)
          and ARRL DX SSB contests. [TNX The Daily DX]
FM      - Roberto, IV3IYH (NQ5W)  will be active  from Martinique (NA-107)  on
          23-30 March. He will participate in  the CQ WPX SSB Contest as  TO3W
          and will operate as FM/IV3IYH before and after the contest. QSL  for
          both callsigns via  IK2ILH, direct  or bureau.  E-mail requests  for

HL_ssh  - Sang  Hoon Lee,  DS4NMJ  [425DXN 761] is now active as DT8A from the
          Korean Antarctic base 'King Sejong' (HL-01 for the Antarctica Award)
          on King George Isl., South Shetlands  (AN-010). He will be stationed
          there until 30  December.  QSL via HL2FDW. [TNX DS4NMJ]
I       - Look    for    Davide/IW9GUR,    Angelo/IW9HLM,     Riccardo/IT9CVO,
          Andrea/IT9RKR and  Andrea/IW9HQP  to be  signing  IE9/homecall  from
          Ustica Island (EU-051, IIA PA-001) on 10-12 March. They plan to have
          three stations active on all bands except 30 metres, plus 6  metres.

J3      - Harry, AC8G  will be  active  as J37K  from  Grenada on  1-6  March,
          including an  entry in  the ARRL  DX SSB  Contest.  He will  try  to
          maximize QSOs outside USA/Canada before and  after the contest.  QSL

JA      - Special event call 8N1MOMO will be aired on all bands and modes from
          1 March to  5 April  to celebrate  the Koga-city  "Momo" (or  Peach)
          Festival. QSL via the JARL bureau. [TNX VA3RJ]
KG4     - Noll, W9RN expects to operate on  6-160 metres CW  and SSB as  KG4RN
          from Guantanamo from 27 February to 6 March. He plans to participate
          in the ARRL DX SSB Contest on 40 metres. [TNX The Daily DX]
LY      - Special call LY15A will be aired on 1-31 March to celebrate the 15th
          anniversary of the  indipendence of the  Republic of Lithuania.  QSL

LZ      - The Balkan Contest  Club (LZ1KZA) will  operate as  LZ128LO on  1-31
          March to  commemorate  the  128th anniversary  of  the  end  of  the
          Russian-Turkish War of Liberation. QSL via LZ1KZA, direct (P.O.  Box
          36, 4300 Karlovo, Bulgaria) or bureau. [TNX LZ1ZF]
OZ      - Jef, ON4ACA will be active as OZ/ON4ACA from Romo Island (EU-125) on
          4-10 March. He will operate SSB and CW on 80, 40 and 20 metres.  QSL

PZ      - Steve, MW0ZZK  and Florent,  F4CYZ will  operate on  80-6 metres  as
          PZ5ZZ and PZ5CY from Suriname between  28 February and 8 March.  QSL
          via IZ8CCW, direct or bureau. [TNX IZ8CCW]
SV      - Look  for   SV5/SV1QN,   SV5/SV1AIN,  SV5/SV1GYG,   SV5/SV1EQU   and
          SV5/SW1GYN to operate on 160-6 metres  SSB, CW, RTTY and PSK31  from
          Patmos Island (EU-001), Dodecanese from 28 March to 2 April. QSL via

SV5     - Willi, DJ7RJ will be active as SV5/DJ7RJ from Kos Island, Dodecanese
          (EU-001) from 27  February to 17  March. He will  operate on  160-10
          metres CW and SSB and to concentrate on the low bands. QSL via  home

SV9     - Dimitris, SV9COL reports  he will participate  in either  the CQ  WW
          160-Meter SSB and the CQ WPX SSB contests as SY9A.
UA      - Vlad/RZ1OA, Pavel/RA1OZ and Dima/UA1OLM will operate as UE1OTA  from
          Kiy island (EU-153, RR-02-22) on 23-26 February. QSL via RZ1OA (Vlad
          Sadakov, P.O. Box 48, Arkhangelsk, 163040, Russia). [TNX RZ1OA]
V3      - Carl, K3RV and Doug, W3NO will be active from Belize on 21-28 March.
          They will participate in the CQ  WW WPX SSB Contest as V31RV,  while
          before and after the contest  they will operate  as V31NO on  160-10
          metres CW and SSB. QSL both callsigns via W3NO. [TNX OPDX Bulletin]
V4      - Bob, AA1M  and Mike,  W1USN will  be signing  V44/homecall from  St.
          Kitts (NA-104) on 2-10 March. They plan to operate SSB, PSK31 and CW
          on 80-10 metres. QSL via home calls. [TNX NG3K]
VK      - The XVIII Commonwealth  Games, contested by  4,500 athletes from  70
          countries, will be  held in Melbourne  on 15-26  March. Two  special
          event callsigns will be aired on 1-31 March to celebrate this event:
          AX3MCG ("Melbourne Commonwealth Games", operated by VK3EW and  VK3QI
          aiming to  achieve  at least  DXCC)  and AX3GAMES  (activated  by  a
          multi-operator roster). QSL for both via the VK3 bureau.  Australian
          amateurs will  be allowed  to use  the AX  prefix during  the  games

VU4     - Also Babs, DL7AFS and Lot, DJ7ZG have announced that they have plans
          to go  and operate  from the  Andaman  Islands. Licences  have  been
          requested, updates will be posted at http://www.qsl.net/dl7afs/
W       - The 2006 Mississippi QSO Party will  run from 15 UTC on 25  February
          through  3  UTC  on  the  26th;  and  Read/W4HOZ,  Becky/Kd5RHB  and
          Darryl/W5VK will activate  stations in Greene,  George and  possibly
          Perry Counties in southeastern Mississippi. Special Call K5G will be
          used in addition  to Magnolia DX  Club's call K5MDX  and W5VK.  [TNX

YB      - While waiting for YE6P (http://dxpedition.orari.web.id/simeulue/) in
          April [425DXN 770], another group of operators is going to be active
          from Simeulue  Island (OC-NEW)  on 8-15  March. Look  for  YC6LAY/P,
          YB6LYS/P, YB6PLG/P, YC6JKV/P and YB1BOD/6 to  operate mainly on  10,
          15, 20, 40 and 80 metres SSB and CW. QSL via YB1BOD/6 (Donny Sirait,

YV      - Jose Manuel Robaina,  YV5TX (4M5R)  expects to  visit San  Fernando,
          Apure State between 25 February and 1 March and plans to operate  as
          YV5TX/9 on 20  and 40 metres  SSB with some  PSK and  RTTY. QSL  via

ZD8     - Jim,  N6TJ  will  operate  again  as  ZD8Z  from  Ascension   Island
          (AF-003) on 19-30  March, including an  entry in the  CQ WW WPX  SSB
          Contest. QSL via VE3HO. [TNX The Daily DX]
ZF      - Bob, K3UL will operate as  ZF2UL from Grand  Cayman (NA-016) on  1-7
          March. He plans to concentrate on the low bands, mainly CW. QSL  via

ZK1     - Jim, W1EMT will be working on Rarotonga (OC-013), South Cook Islands
          on 4-24 March  and plans to  operate QRP on  40, 20, 17,  15 and  10
          metres as ZK1EMT  in his  spare time  and during  the weekends.  QSL

3Y0X ---> The 3Y0X DXpedition to Peter I went QRT on 19 February at 18.13 UTC
after 87,034 QSOs. The DAP Mares  was scheduled to leave  on 21 February  and
tentative plans were to visit Deception Island on the way back to King George
Island and on to Punta Arenas  (Chile). However, the weather worsened to  the
point that the helicopter was not able to fly to pick up the remaining  loads
of gear and supplies still on Peter I. At  23.30 UTC on 23 February the  team
was still awaiting another break in the WX to retrieve their final loads, but
the weather forecast is not good for another few days.

DXCC NEWS: K3LP/KP5 and N3KS/KP5 from  Desecheo Island (16-17 December  2005)
have been approved for DXCC credit.

QSL 6O0JT  ---> Joe,  VA6JWT operated  from Somalia  as  6O0JT and  is  being
overwhelmed by bureau cards. He asks  that no more cards be  sent to him  via
the bureau, but that they be sent direct to Joe Talbot, P.O. Box 836, Bowden,

QSL A61AX ---> Witek, SP9MRO operated as A61AX in November 2005 and says that
cards for those QSOs should be  sent to his  home address: Witek  Onaczyszyn,

QSL VK9CG ---> Charlie, W0YG reports that many VK9CG are being sent to either
JA3JA (who only  used that callsign  in 1993) or  W0CG. Please  QSL the  2005
VK9CG  operation  via  W0YG  (direct  only).  Charlie  plans  to  return   to
Cocos-Keeling in November, further information is expected in due course.

past operations from  various Canadian islands  - Jenny  Lind (NA-131),  Bray
