3A - Patrice, F5RBB reports he will operate SSB on 40, 20, 15, 10 and 6
metres as 3A/F5RBB from Monaco on 2-10 September.
3V - Francois, F8DVD will operate CW and SSB on 80-10 metres from 3V8SM
(Djerba Island, AF-083) on 28-31 August. QSL for this operation via
F8DVD, direct or bureau. [TNX F5NQL]
7P - Jan/DL7JAN, Mathias/DJ2HD and Wolfgang/DH3WO will be active from
Roma, Lesotho on 3-12 September. They will collect their licences
upon arrival (requested calls are 7P8JF, 7P8DJ and 7P8WO
respectively) and they plan to operate with two stations on 80-10
metres CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. QSL for all via DL7JAN, direct or

9A - Look for 9A5AN/p (Neno), 9A/OM3PC (Rudi), 9A/OM5ZW (Lubo) and Tami
9A/OM5MF (Tami) to operate from Palagruza Island (EU-090) on 2-9

CU - Jean-Pierre, F8AYU will be active as CU8/F8AYU from Flores Island
(EU-089), Azores on 3-10 September. He plans to operate CW and SSB
on 20 and 40 metres. [TNX F8REF]
EA - Francois, ON4LO reports he will operate as EA5/OO4F from two
lighthouses - Cabo de Palos (ARLHS SPA-019) and El Estacio (SPA-088)
- between 1 and 30 September. Activity will be on 40-6 metres SSB.

EA8 - Frank, DH5JG will be active as EA8/DH5JG from Lanzarote (DIE S-007),
Canary Islands (AF-004) from 30 August to 12 September. He plans to
operate CW, SSB and RTTY/PSK31 on 40-10 metres, and to partecipate
in the IARU Region 1 Field Day SSB (2-3 September) and in the WAEDC
SSB (9-10 September). QSL via bureau to home call. [TNX DH5JG]
EA8 - Nicolas, F5TGR will operate SSB and CW on 40-10 metres as
EA8/F5TGR/p from Fuerteventura, Canary Islands (AF-004) on 2-16

FH - Tom, DL2RUM and Jan, DJ8NK will operate as TX5T and TX5NK from
Mayotte (AF-027) from 31 August through 11 September. They plan to
be active on 160-10 metres CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31. QSL via their

GM - The Orkney Wireless Museum (www.owm.org.uk) will be on the air as
GB2OWM during the 16th Orkney Science Festival
(http://www.oisf.org/), which will be held from 31 August to 6

GM - The Orkney Amateur Radio Club (http://www.eu009.com) will operate as
GB1H from the Isle of Stronsay (EU-009) on 7-10 September. They will

I - Walter, IZ3ALU will be active as ID9/IZ3ALU from Vulcano Island
(EU-017, IIA ME-018) from 26 August to 2 September. He will operate
SSB, PSK and RTTY on 40, 20 and 15 metres. QSL via home call. [TNX

I - Special call IU3TS will be aired from 1 September through 31 October
to celebrate the 60th anniversary of ARI Trieste. [TNX IV3LNQ]
IS0 - Giorgio, IZ1DXS reports he has had to cancel his 2-10 September trip
[425DXN 791] to Sardinia.
LA - Yogi, DB5YB will operate as LA/DB5YB from Halsnoy Island (EU-055) on
1-11 September. He plans to be active mainly on 20 metres SSB. QSL

LX - Theo/PA1TK, Kees/PA5WT and Rob/PA3GVI will be active as LX/homecalls
from Luxembourg (JN39AX) from 30 August to 3 September. Their main
goal is the participation in the IARU Region 1 VHF Contest (2-3
September), but there will be HF activity as well, on 30 and 40
metres (CW and SSB), during their early morning and evening hours.

LZ - Special event station LZ1900K will be active through the end of the
year to celebrate the 1900th anniversary of the ancient town of
Pautalia (modern Kyustendil). QSL via LZ1BJ (bureau preferred). [TNX

OZ - Look for OZ/DF8HS to be active from Samsoe Island (EU-172) from 27
August to 8 September. QSL via home call. [TNX www.rsgbiota.org]
OZ - Michael, DK5NA will operate as OZ/DK5NA from Romo Island (EU-125) on
2-23 September. Activity will be mostly between 30 and 160 metres

S7 - Claudio, IZ0KRC reports he will operate holiday style as S79RC from
the islands of Mahe, Praslin and La Digue (all count for IOTA
AF-024), Seychelles on 3-16 September. QSL via IK0PRP, direct or
bureau.
UR - Celebrating the 15th anniversary of the indipendence of Ukraine, a
number of special calls will be aired on 24-28 August: EO15FF (QSL
via UX0FF), EO15FW (QSL via UT3FW), EM15FA (QSL via UT2FA) and EN15P
(QSL via UR4PWL). [TNX UX0FF and UR3PGS]
UR - Slava/US7IGF, Roman/UR7IJQ, Alexandr/UR7IKV, Roman/UY7IQ will
operate on 40-17 metres and 6m SSB and CW from Donets'kyi Island
(SD-05 for the Ukrainian Islands Award) on 27 August. QSL card via

V2 - Bud, AA3B will operate CW only as V26K from Antigua (NA-100) on
22-27 November, including a SOAB Low Power entry in the CQ WW CW DX
Contest. QSL via home call. [TNX AA3B]
VE - Linda, VE9GLF and Len, VE9MY are planning another operation from
NA-126 around late August-early September. Their last trip was cut
short by an emergency call from home. QSL via home calls, direct or

VE - Look for special event call VE6QCWA to be aired from 1 through 30
September for the QCWA National Convention that will be held in
Calgary on 28-30 September. QSL via VE6AFO. Founded in 1947, the
Quarter Century Wireless Association is open to amateur radio
operators who have been licenced for at least 25 years (please visit

VE - Jean-Pierre, F5AHO and Joel, F5PAC plan to operate from a few IOTA
groups (NA-068, NA-029, NA-154, NA-010, NA-081, NA-126 and NA-127)
while touring New Brunswick and Nova Scotia between 1 and 23
September. Look for them on +/- 14260 and 18128 kHz between 12 and

VE - George, K3GV reports he will be active on 15 and 20 metres as
K3GV/VY2 from Prince Edward Island (NA-029) on 3-17 September. QSL

VK - Wade, AA8LL and Liz, K8LIZ will be active from Australia as follows:
01-04 September VK7AAH/5 and VK7AED/5
Cape du Couedic Lighthouse (AUS-030), Kangaroo Island (OC-139)

Cape Bruny Lighthouse (AUS-254), South Bruny Island (OC-233)

They operate CW and SSB (maybe RTTY) with 100 watts and wires on

AFRICAN TOUR ---> Miki, YT1CS will be touring Africa in October. So far his
list of destinations includes Tanzania (5H), Kenya (5Z), Burundi (9U),
Ethiopia (ET), Comoros (D6) and Mayotte (FH). He also plans to operate from a
few IOTAs: Lamu (AF-040), Wasini (AF-067), Zanzibar (AF-032) and Pemba

were inadvertently rejected. Those have had QSOs rejected at DXCC, can claim

QSL 5V7BR ---> Gerard, F2VX has been the new QSL manager (direct and bureau)

QSL GW3KHZ/P ---> Steve, G4EDG reports that all direct requests sent to him
for the May 2006 GW3KHZ/P operation from St. Tudwal's Island (EU-106) have
been processed and mailed out.
QSL LG5LG & SJ9WL ---> John, SM5DJZ (ex-SM0DJZ) has been the QSL manager for
SJ9WL and LG5LG, the station on the border between Sweden and Norway, since
1995. As of 20 August 2006, the QSL route has changed and cards should be
sent to Svenn-Erik Spigseth, LA4EKA (either direct or through the Norwegian
QSL bureau). Cards already sent to SM5DJZ will be forwarded to the new QSL
