1A0    - The 12-22  July  1A0KM activity  [425DXN  840]  from  the  Sovereign
         Military Order of Malta will be conducted by a team of operators led
         by IK0FVC and including DL5MAE, DL6RAI, G3SXW, G3TXF, I0JBL,  I2UIY,
         I8NHJ, IK0DWN, IK0FTA, IK0PRG, IW0GIV, IW0GPN, K5AB, KO4RR, N4WV and
         OH2BH. Plans are to operate from  160 metres to  23cm on all  modes,
         including EME activity  during the  first weekend.  QSL via  IK0FTA.

8Q     - 8Q7KN is the callsign Al, JA9APS will be using on 6-9 July from  the
         Maldives [425DXN 843]. This will be a family vacation, and his  wife
         (JR9GTD) will also operate as 8Q7KN, while his two sons (JE9AMG  and
         JE9AMH) will be active as 8Q7KF. [TNX JA1ELY]
9M4    - The MARTS  (Malaysian Amateur  Radio Transmitter's  Society)  Penang
         Contest Team will participate in the  IARU HF World Championship  as
         9M4DXX from Penang  Island (AS-015). QSL  via bureau,  or direct  to
         9M2TO.
ES     - Frank, DL1FT will be active as ES0FTZ from Saaremaa Island  (EU-034)
         on 11-21 July.  He plans to  operate on 15,  17, 20, 30,  40 and  80

G      - The Radio Society  of Great Britain  (RSGB) will  be represented  by
         GB7HQ in this year's IARU HF World Championship. Expect activity  on
         all the HF contest bands on both CW and SSB. QSL via G3TXF  (direct,

HL     - A group of  operators from the  Gwangju DX  Club will  be active  as
         6L0NJ/4 from Ch'ung Island (AS-060) starting around 6 UTC on 14 July
         through 3 UTC on the 17th.  They plan to be  active on 160-6  metres
         CW, SSB  and  RTTY.  QSL  via  HL4XM.  Logs  will  be  available  at

I      - Matteo/IZ5HSK, Riccardo/IZ5JMX and Massimo/IZ5ILF will be active  as
         IA5/homecall from Capraia Island (EU-028,  IIA LI-020) until  around

I      - Look for Diego, IZ5JOB/p and Luca, IZ5IPA/p to operate from  Scoglio
         dello Sparviero (EU-028, IIA GR-007) on 7 July. [TNX IZ5CYZ]
I      - Commemorating  the  70th  anniversary  of  the  death  of  Guglielmo
         Marconi, Luigi/IV3LNQ will operate as IA3GM until 30 September.  QSL
         via home call, direct or bureau. [TNX IV3LNQ]
JA     - Celebrating the  Sendai  Tanabata Festival,  special  event  station
         8J7VENUS will  be active  (on 80-10  metres  SSB with  some  digital
         modes, plus 6m) until 31 August. On 6-8 July look for 8J7VENUS/7  to
         be operated from Tashiro Island (AS-117,  JIIA AS-117-059). QSL  via

KH0    - Kay, JH0MRP (AC5TB) and Nao, JK1FNL (NA8O) will operate as AC5TB/KH0
         and NA8O/KH0 from  Saipan (OC-086)  on 13-16  July for  the IARU  HF
         World Championship. Outside the contest they  will be active on  30,
         17, 12 and 6 metres. QSL via their Japanese home calls. [TNX JK1FNL]
KL     - Mike, W7ASF  and Richard,  N7TCO will  be active  as W7ASF/KL7  from
         Prince of Wales Island (NA-041), Alaska on 22-30 July, IOTA  Contest
         included. QSL direct or via bureau. [TNX VA3RJ]
LX     - LX0HQ will be representing the Luxembourg Amateur Radio Society (RL)
         during this year's IARU HF World Championship. Four stations will be
         active from  two different  locations, Eschdorf  (QTH of  LX7I)  and
         Esebuer (QTH of LX0RL). QSL via LX1KQ. [TNX LX2A]
OY     - Roger, G3SXW and Nigel,  G3TXF will operate  CW only as  OY/homecall
         from the Faroe Islands (EU-018) on 6-8 July. This will be a  low-key
         CW-only activity, with OY/G3SXW  operating on 40  and 20 metres  and
         OY/G3TXF operating on 30 metres. As  their visit coincides with  the
         VHF Field Day, an attempt will  be made to be on  50 MHz during  the
         eight-hour 6m session  (14-22 UTC) on  7 July. QSL  via home  calls,

PJ2    - Carsten/ DL6LAU,  Jan/DJ8NK and  Joachim/DL8OBQ  will be  active  as
         PJ2/homecall from  Curacao (SA-006),  Netherlands Antilles  on  9-16
         July. QSL via home calls. They  plan to participate  in the IARU  HF
         World Championship  (14-15 July)  as PJ2HQ  (QSL  via N9AG)  in  the
         Multi-Multi category. [TNX VA3RJ]
S5     - Slovenia (ZRS)  will  be represented  S50HQ  in the  IARU  HF  World
         Championship. A multi-op team will cover 10, 15, 20, 40, 80 and  160
         metres both SSB and CW. QSL via bureau. [TNX S50U]
SM     - Eric, SM1TDE  will participate  in the  IOTA  Contest as  SA1A  from
         Gotland Island (EU-020). He will operate CW only. QSL via home call.

SV9    - Paolo, IK2MLS reports he will be active holiday style as  SV9/IK2MLS
         from Crete (EU-015) on 15-27 July. He plans to operate SSB on the HF
         bands, 6 and 2 metres. QSL via home call.
T8     - Hide/JM1LJS  (T80W,  http://radio-dream.com/t80w/),   Motoaki/JE1EKS
         (T88EK) and Koya/JI5RPT  (T88PT, http://www.ji5rpt.com/t88pt/)  will
         be active from  Koror (OC-009), Palau  on 13-18 July.  They plan  to
         operate on 40-6  metres SSB  and CW,  plus satellite.  QSL via  home

TA     - TA1FR, TA1HZ  and TA2RX  will operate  as TC25SG  on 11-15  July  to
         celebrate the  25th anniversary  of the  foundation of  the  Turkish
         Coast Guard Command. All day multiband operation is planned for  the
         IARU HF World Championship weekend. QSL via TA1HZ, direct or bureau.

TA     - The new dates  for YM1907FB  [425DXN 843]  are 19-26  July. QSL  via
         TA3YJ, direct or bureau. [TNX TA3YJ]
TK     - Jack, HB9TL reports he will  be active as  TK/HB9TL from Corsica  on
         18-30 July. He plans to operate  SSB on 10-80 metres. QSL direct  to
         HB9QR.
UA     - Mike, RW1AI will participate  in the IARU  HF World Championship  as
         RW1AI/0 from ITU  Zone 75. He  will remain  there until  mid-August,
         then he will  move to the  drifting station "North  Pole 35" and  be
         active as  R35NP  for several  months.  QSL via  home  call,  direct

UR     - Special callsign EM75IG  will be aired  on all bands  until 10  July
         from Gorlovka to  commemorate the  75th anniversary  of the  Donetsk

UR     - Sam/UT9FJ, Alex/UR5FEL and Petro/UR5FCZ will be active as homecall/p
         from Berezan  Island (EU-179,  UIA BS-02,  ARLHS UKR-035)  on  25-30
         July, IOTA Contest included. QSL via home calls. [TNX UT9FJ]
V3     - Colin, KU5B will be active as  V31UB from Belize  on 12-17 July.  He
         plans to operate  most nights on  the HF bands  SSB and  CW, with  a
         minimal plan to operate on 6 metres. QSL via home call. [TNX NG3K]
V8     - Steve, 9M6DXX will be active as V8FEO from Brunei on 11-15 July.  He
         plans to operate on 10-80 metres SSB, and to participate in the IARU
         HF World Championship. QSL via M5AAV, direct or bureau. [TNX 9M6DXX]
VP2V   - Cal/WF5W, Paul/W5PF,  Bill/K5WAF,  Bob/WB5IUU  and  Nancy/WZ8C  will
         operate  as  VP2V/homecall  from  Tortola,  British  Virgin  Islands
         (NA-023) on 11-18 July. They will participate in the FISTS Sprint CW
         Contest (13 July) and in  the IARU HF  World Championship. All  QSLs

W      - The Boeing Employees Amateur Radio Operators North Society (BEARONS)
         will run a special event  station under their  club call, W7FLY,  to
         commemorate the rollout ceremony for Boeing's newest commercial jet,
         the 787 Dreamliner. Expect activity on  8-9 July, on  20, 40 and  80

W      - Terry, W6WTG will be active as  W6I from Anacapa Island (NA-144)  on
         27-29 July, IOTA Contest included. He plans to operate on 20  metres

W      - Manfred, VA3RMF will  participate in the  IOTA Contest as  VA3RMF/W1
         from Bailey  Island  (NA-137, USI  ME-022S).  Before and  after  the
         contest he will try to go  and operate from Orr's Island (not  IOTA,

YB     - Special event callsign YE39AR will be  aired on all bands and  modes
         on 9-11  July  to  celebrate the  39th  anniversary  of  ORARI,  the
         Indonesian IARU  society, and  their  National Convention.  QSL  via

ZF     - Eddie, N2EK  will be  operating holiday  style as  ZF2EK from  Grand
         Cayman (NA-016) on 13-20 July. QSL home call. [TNX N2EK]

CARIBBEAN TOUR  --->  Frank, K3TRM  will  be active  as  V26RM  from  Antigua
(NA-100) until 10 July, and - hopefully as VP2MRM - from Montserrat  (NA-103)
on 11-14 July. He operates SSB, CW, RTTY on 80-6 metres (he has also received
permission to operate on 60 metres from Antigua). QSL for both calls via home

AEGEAN VHF CONTEST ---> The Aegean VHF Contest (the Greek VHF and 6m contest,
SSB and CW) takes  place on 7-8  July. Entrants are  expected from all  Greek
mainland areas (SV1, 2, 3, 4,  6, 7), as well as  from the Dodecanese  (SV5),
Crete (SV9) and other Greek islands  (SV8). Monk Apollo, SV2ASP/A might  give
out a few points from Mount Athos. [TNX SV8CYV]

QSL ST2R --->  Slavko, S57DX says  that direct  requests for  ST2R are  being
replied to  right now.  The address  for direct  cards is  Slavko Celarc,  Ob

QSL ZA/Z35M ---> Vlado went QRT from Albania on 27 June, after five years and

QSL VIA PG5M ---> Gerben (www.dx.to) has received from the printer the  cards
for his 9M2/PG5M  operation from Sibu  and Rawa  (AS-046), Pangkor  (AS-072),
Ketam (AS-074) and Spratly (AS-051). All direct requests are in the mail, and
he will now start processing all bureau  requests. Please note that 1 USD  is
not enough to cover the postage for  a 0-20 gram letter outside Europe.  [TNX

IOTA WEBSITE: The new IOTA website (www.rsgbiota.org) has been up and running
              since 21 June.  It includes many  innovative improvements,  and
              contains also many new features including  the ability to  view
              one's own record of  island groups confirmed.  Soon it will  be
              possible - for registered users -  to claim additional  credits
              on-line and even to claim credit for IOTA Contest QSOs  without
              the need  for QSL  card verification.  The site  was  developed
              primarily  by  Dominic  Smith  (M0BLF),  with  Martin  Atherton
              (G3ZAY) acting as the liaison between the project team and  the
              IOTA Committee. Enquires  about the website  can be emailed  to
