ARCTIC CHALLENGE ---> The French Polar Team has announced a new programme
called "The Arctic Challenge" for working amateur radio stations from the
Arctic. Full details are available at http://f6kdf.ath.cx/f5nod/ [TNX F5NOD]
DP0MSM ---> This is the official callsign of the amateur radio club station
on board the "Maria S. Merian", a German research vessel that is currently
voyaging from Longyearyben (Svalbard) to Kiel (Germany). The crew includes
four licenced amateurs (Frank/DJ3FR, Martin/DL7ARY, Hermann/DH1HP and
Steffen/DF1MSM). DP0MSM can be used only when the ship is outside the 12-mile
belt of territorial waters, otherwise the crew members have to use their
personal callsigns /mm. The QSL cards for DP0MSM can be sent through the DARC
bureau. [TNX DL5EBE]
MEMORIAL UA4IF ---> Special callsigns R100AK and R100IF (QSL for both via
RW4HB, direct or bureau) are being used to commemorate the 100th anniversary
of the birth of amateur radio veteran Alexander Kamalagin, UA4IF. Information
on the relevant award can be found at
http://www.samaraham.ru/main.php?d=awards/ua4if_memory_eng. [TNX RA4HT]

reply to, and, after ten years, there is not much hope to retrieve those
logs.
