C6      - W2GJ, K3IXD and W3PP will  be active as  C6APR from Crooked  Island
          (NA-113), Bahamas on 25-28 July. They  will operate on 80-6  metres
          CW, SSB, and RTTY, and  will participate in  the IOTA Contest.  QSL

CU      - The Uniao de Radioamadores dos Acores will be active as CU3URA from
          Contendas lighthouse on Terceira Island (EU-175)  from 31 May to  1
          June. Expect activity on 10, 12, 15,  17, 20, 40 and 80 metres  CW,
          SSB and RTTY, plus 6 and 2 metres. [TNX CT1END]
CU      - Alain, F5LMJ  will  be  active  from  the  Azores  in July. He will
          operate  CW and  digital modes as CU2/F5LMJ from Sao Miguel Island


          (EU-003) on  19-26  July, and  as  CU3/F5LMJ from Terceira (EU-175)
          from 26 July to 1 August. [TNX F5LMJ]
CU      - CT1EGW, CT1EEQ, CT3FN  (HB9CRV), CU2HJA, CU8AS,  DL9DAN and  HB9CQL
          will be active as CU1F (QSL via CT1GFK) from the lighthouse Goncalo
          Velho on Santa  Maria Island  (EU-003), Azores  from 21  July to  1
          August. Look for activity on 80-6 metres CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31; a
          beacon will be operated on 50113  kHz using CU1/CT3FN. They  expect
          to participate in the IOTA  Contest (26-27 July)  as CU1T (QSL  via

F       - Joining the celebrations for the 400th anniversary of the  founding
          of Quebec City,  amateur radio operators  of the  Charente-Maritime
          (REF-17) will be active as TM4OO on 1-15 June.
F       - The South Flanders  DX Activity Group  will operate  once again  as
          F/ON6JUN/P on  5-9  June to  commemorate  the 64th  anniversary  of
          D-Day. They will be QRV on the HF bands CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK.  QSL
          via ON5SD, direct or bureau. [TNX F5NQL]
F       - The Association des RadioAmateurs des Cotes d'Armor (F6KBO) will be
          active as TM6BRE from  Brehat Island (EU-074,  DIFM MA-012) on  6-8
          June. Expect activity on 80, 40,  20, 15, 10, 6  and 2 metres  SSB,
          CW, RTTY and PSK31. QSL via F6KBO. [TNX F5NQL]
F       - Commemorating the 64th anniversary of D-Day special station  TM6JUN
          will be active once again from Utah Beach on 6-8 June. [TNX F8REF]
F       - Michel, F6IPS will operate as TM6SME on 6-15 June from Emondeville,
          close to Sainte Mere-Eglise, to commemorate the 64th anniversary of
          the World War II "D-Day"  landings in Normandy  (6 June 1944).  QSL
          via home call, direct or bureau. [TNX F5NQL]
F       - Special event station  TM0GP will be  active on 7-20  June for  the
          French Formula 1 Grand Prix that will be held at Nevers Magny-Cours
          on 22 June. QSL via F1HWL (all QSOs will be confirmed automatically

F       - Special callsign TM0WPC will be used  on 3-17 August for the  World
          Parachuting  Championships  in  formation  skydiving  and  artistic
          events to be  held at  Maubeuge-Elesmes (La  Salmagne) airfield  on
          9-14 August. Expect activity  on 160-2 metres  CW, SSB and  digital
          modes. QSL via F5KEB. [TNX F5NQL]
FH      - Alain, F6BFH will be active as FH/F6BFH from Mayotte (AF-027)  from
          9 July to 9 August. He will operate  CW and SSB on all bands,  with
          an emphasis on the lower bands. [TNX F6AJA]
GM      - Gordon, G3USR, will be active as GM3USR/p from the Island of  Yell,
          Shetland (EU-012) from 4-8 June. He  will operate SSB only on  40-6
          metres with  100 watts,  a  vertical or  dipole  on 40m,  a  5-band
          Spiderbeam on HF  and a 3-element  yagi on 6m.  QSL via home  call,

I       - Look for  ON7ARQ  to  be active  as  IA5/ON7ARQ  from  Elba  Island
          (EU-028) on 6-16 June. He plans to  operate on 20, 6, 2 metres  and
          23 cm. [TNX F5NQL]
I       - IT9NCO, IT9DTU, IT9DCE  and possibly others  will operate on  80-10
          metres CW,  SSB  and digital  modes  from the  lighthouse  at  Cape
          Rasocolmo (WAIL  SI-034,  ARLHS ITA-032)  on  7-8  June.  QSLs  via

JA      - Aru, JA0KNM, and Kai,  JE3NJZ will be  active as homecall/JR6  from
          Kuro Island  (JIIA AS-024-009),  Yaeyama  Islands (AS-024)  on  6-9
          June. They  plan to  operate  CW, SSB  and  digital modes  on  40-6

JA      - Look for JF6OID/6  and JK6IJE/6 to  be active on  the HF bands  SSB
          from  O  Island  (JIIA  AS-036-016)  and  and  Naga  Island   (JIIA
          AS-036-012) in the  AS-036 IOTA  group on  7-8 June.  QSL via  home

JA      - Look for 8J9HGR to be QRV  on the HF bands CW  and SSB from  Hegura
          Island (AS-117) on 26-30 July, celebrating the 40th anniversary  of
          the Noto Peninsula National Park. QSL via JH9UYZ. [TNX JI6KVR]
JD1_oga - 7N4AGB, JA1EJK,  JA1JQY, JA1KJW,  JA1NND, JA1XEQ,  JI1FPO,  JJ1JGI,
          JK1EBA and  JR1LYL  will  be  active  from  the  Ogasawara  Islands
          (AS-031) in June. Look for them to be signing homecall/JD1 on 160-6
          metres CW and SSB from Chichijima  (JIIA AS-031-003) on 12-18  June
          and from Hahajima  (JIIA AS-031-005) on  19-22 June.  QSL via  home

OJ0     - The early June Swedish activity from  Market Reef [425DXN 881]  has
          been cancelled and postponed to some time in August.
OZ      - Arne, OZ1JVX  will  operate  on 20  metres  SSB  as  OZ1JVX/p  from
          Lodbjerg lighthouse on  Vensyssel-Thy (EU-171) on  31 May. QSL  via

OZ      - Special event station  OZ5FYN will  be active  on 1  June form  the
          Museum of  the Cold  War (1947-89)  on Langeland  Island  (EU-172).
          Expect activity on  80 metres and  then on the  higher bands  until
          around 14.30 UTC;  on 6 metres  they will  be on  50173, 50230  and
          50510 kHz. [TNX OZ6OM]
OY      - Rag, LA6FJA and  Arne, LA7WCA will  be active  as OY/homecall  from
          Stromoy Island, Faroe Islands (EU-018) on 25-30 June. They plan  to
          operate CW, SSB, RTTY and PSK31 on 80-6 metres. QSL via home  call,

SM      - Bernd, DL8AAV will be active as  SD1B/6 from Tjorn Island  (EU-043)

TF      - Enrico, DL2VFR will be active (SSB, CW and RTTY) as TF/DL2VFR  from
          Iceland (EU-021)  between 9  and 19  June. On  10-12 June  he  will
          operate SSB  and  CW  as  TF5/DL2VFR  from  the  island  of  Hrisey

TK      - Dan, IK2UWA says he has had to postpone his TK/IK2UWA activity from
          Cavallo Island  (EU-164) [425DXN  889) to  6-13 June.  He plans  to
          operate CW and SSB on 10-40  metres. QSL via  home call, direct  or
          bureau.
SV      - DL7BMG, DL7VDC, DL7BW, DL7WS, and DL8RO will be active as SY8B from
          Zakynthos Island (EU-052) on 1-6 June. They plan to operate SSB, CW
          and PSK31 mainly  on 40, 30  and 20  metres, during  the UTC  early
          mornings and late afternoons. [TNX DXNL]
SV      - The following twenty special callsigns will be aired from Greece on
          14-22 June to celebrate the (nearly) 24 centuries elapsed since the
          birth of Alexander the Great (356 B.C.): SX24DRM, SX24ELI, SX24EVI,
          SX24EVR, SX24FLR,  SX24HLK,  SX24IMA,  SX24KLK,  SX24KVL,  SX24KYK,
          SX24KZN, SX24LRS,  SX24MGN,  SX24PEL,  SX24PIE,  SX24RDP,  SX24SRS,
          SX24TSL, SX24VIO and SX24XAN. Expect activity  on 160-6 metres  CW,
          SSB, RTTY and BPSK. The QSL route  for all of the callsigns is  via

UA      - Nick/RA1QQ, Alexey/RA1QY  and  Dmitriy/RN3GM will  be  active  from
          Krasny Bor Island (RRA RR 22-New, RDA VO-29) on 7-8 June. They plan
          to operate on  40-17 metres SSB  and CW. QSL  via home calls.  [TNX

UA      - Serge, RZ3AMW  will  be active  as  RZ3AMW/1 from  Ryashkov  Island
          (EU-162) from 15 June to 5 July. He plans to operate daily  between
          17 and 21 UTC, on 40 and 20 metres CW and SSB. [TNX RZ3ATE]
UR      - Mike, UT9IO  and Harry,  UX3IW will  be active  as homecall/P  from
          Zmeiniy Island (EU-182, UIA BS-07) from  20 July to 5 August.  They
          will operate SSB, CW, RTTY and BPSK31 on 80-2 metres, and will take
          part in the IOTA Contest. QSL via home call, direct or bureau. [TNX

VE      - Special event call sign VC3C will be  aired from 1 June to 30  July
          to commemorate the 400th anniversary of the founding of Quebec City
          by Samuel de  Champlain. Amateur radio  mobile units will  activate
          many sites marking the passage of Champlain during his first voyage
          up the Ottawa River. QSL via  VE3VIG, direct or bureau. Details  on

VE      - Ken/VY2RU, Dick/VE1AI, Gary/VE1RGB, Scott/VE1QD, Howard/VE1DHD, and
          Ella/VE1PEI will be active as CI2PEI  from McEwens Island  (NA-029,
          CIsA PE-013)  on  6-8 June.  QSL  via VE1FQ  (bureau  )  or  VE1DHD

VK9W    - Gerd, DJ5IW  and Robert,  SP5XVY have  joined the  group of  German
          operators who will be active as VK9DWX from Willis Island  (OC-007)
          on 9-27 October [425DXN 872].  QSL via DJ2MX.  They plan on  having
          four stations with full legal power, operating at the same time and
          also on the same band in  different modes, if necessary.  Verticals
          will be used on  all bands, with  arrays from 80  to 10 metres  and
          beverages for  better receiving  possibilities  on the  low  bands.
          Operations on 6 metres are being considered, but the results  might
          not be worth the effort - "let us know", they say, "how strong  you
          would support  a 6m  operation" by  leaving  your comments  on  the

VP2M    - Graham, M0AEP  will  be  active  on  80-6  metres  as  VP2MDD  from

W       - Look for Jay, NS4J to operate  on 20 and 40  metres as NS4J/p  from
          Emerald Isle (NA-112)  between 2  and 7  June. QSL  via home  call,

W       - Look for  Doug, KF4VTT  to  be active  as  KF4VTT/p from  Key  West
          (NA-062) between 4 and 10 June. QSL via home call. [TNX VA3RJ]

CARIBBEAN TOUR --->  Freddy, F5IRO and  David, F8CRS will  be active  holiday
style from Guadeloupe and Martinique on  4-21 August. Their main QTH will  be
Les Saintes Islands (NA-114), where they  will operate as TO8S (4-17  August)
with two stations. Expect them to be QRV on 80-10 metres mainly CW, with some
SSB and RTTY. A 3-4-day side  trip to Guadeloupe (NA-102) as FG/homecalls  is
possible during  that  time frame.  On  18-21 August  they  will  operate  as
FM/homecalls from  Martinique  (NA-107) with  one  station. QSLs  via  F8CRS,

DXCC CHALLENGE ---> The  new  DXCC DeSoto Cup   Challenge  winner  for   2007
is Fausto Minardi, I4EAT (3129  band points).  Second and third  place medals
have been   earned  by   W4DR   (3124)   and OZ1LO  (3119).   Other   sixteen
operators   have    now    exceeded    the    3000    level    (details    at
http://www.arrl.org/awards/dxcc/listings/desoto-cup.html).

MUSEUM SHIPS   WEEKEND ---> Sponsored  by the Battleship  New Jersey  Amateur
Radio Station (NJ2BB),  this year's Museum  Ships Weekend will  be held  from

WAE60 MARATHON ---> On 26 August  1948 W2IOP received  the first "Worked  All
Europe" award. The DARC Committee for DX and HF Contesting  (www.darcdxhf.de)

during the WAE Marathon that will  take place from 9  August (begin of  WAEDC
