4L     - 4L9MR is the callsign that  Eugene, UX3MR will  be using during  his
         amateur radio activities from Georgia, between 8 July and 3  August.
         He also plans to operate from lighthouse GEO-004. QSL via home call,

8Q     - IARU Vice President Tim Ellam,  VE6SH will be  active as 8Q7TM  from
         the Maldives  (AS-013) on  11-20 July,  IARU HF  World  Championship

CO     - Ed, CO7PH is planning to be active again, as either CO7PH/p or  with
         a  special  callsign   (possibly  T47CF),   from  NA-086   (Camaguey
         Archipelago) for the IOTA Contest.  He expects to  be joined by  two
         other operators, and they will try to run two stations to cover both

CT     - CT1GFK and CT1GPQ  will be  active as  CT7FFF from  the Ria  Formosa
         Natural Park on 5-6 July. QSL  via CT1GFK. Information on the  newly
         born CTFF-DPRN award, for contacts made with stations operating from
         national parks and nature reserves in Portugal, can be found on  the

D4     - Massimo, IZ4DPV will participate in the  IARU HF World  Championship
         as D4C from Cape Verde. Before and after the contest he will operate
         on 6 metres (beacon on 50034 kHz). QSL via IZ4DPV.
ES     - Frank, DL1FT will be active as ES0FTZ from Saaremaa Island  (EU-034)
         on 8-18 July. He plans to operate SSB  on 80, 40 and 20 metres.  QSL

EY     - Dane, S57CQ is now in Tajikistan and will be active as EY8/S57CQ for
         the next couple of weeks. QSL via S57DX. [TNX S57DX]
FP     - Eric, KV1J and his son Matthew, W1MAT will be active as FP/KV1J  and
         FP/W1MAT from Miquelon Island  (NA-032) on 9-14  July. They plan  to
         operate on 80-6 metres SSB, CW,  RTTY and PSK31, and to  participate
         in the IARU  Contest (12-13  July). QSL  via home  calls, direct  or

G      - The Radio Society  of Great Britain  (RSGB) will  be represented  by
         GB7HQ in  this year's  IARU HF  World Championship.  Expect a  large
         group of operators to  be active from  three separate DXCC  entities
         (England, Wales and Scotland) on all the HF contest bands on both CW

KP4    - The Cofresi Radio Club (WP4NRT) will participate in the annual WLOTA
         Contest (5-6 July)  from Los  Morrillos lighthouse.  They expect  to
         operate SSB, RTTY and PSK31  on 80-10 metres.  QSL via WP4NRX.  [TNX
LA     - Look for LA0CX to be active as LA0CX/p from Averoya (EU-036) on  5-7

LY     - On 6 July (Statehood Day) Lithuania  commemorates the coronation  of
         King  Mindaugas  (1253),  the  founder  of  the  Lithuanian   state.
         Celebrating that  755th anniversary,  the following  special  prefix
         stations will be  active from 6  July to 6  August: LY755A  (LY2ZZ),
         LY755BY (LY3BY), LY755BKK (LY2BKK),  LY755DX (LY4DX), LY755Q  LY4Q),
         LY755QT (LY2QT), LY755W (LY5W) and LY755X (LY3X). Information on the
         relevant    award     is     expected    to     be     posted     on

OJ0    - Look  for  OJ0/G0CKV,  OJ0/G3SXW,  OJ0/OH3RM,  OJ0/W6RGG  and  OJ0VR
         (OH1VR) to  be  active from  Market  Reef (EU-053)  on  11-14  July,
         depending on sea conditions. They will operate on 160-6 metres  with
         3-4 stations (QSL via home calls)  and will participate in the  IARU
         HF World Championship as OJ0A (QSL via OH3RM). [TNX OH3RM]
OX     - Bo, OZ1DJJ will active again as OX3LX from Greenland (grid GP60)  on
         9-23 July. He will operate in  spare time on 6 metres and  possibily

OZ     - DL2SWW, DF9TM and  DL2VFR will participate  in the  IOTA Contest  as
         OZ0FR from Romo Island (EU-125). QSL  via DL2VFR, direct or  bureau.

OY     - DL2MLU,  DD1LD,  DD5FZ,  DK7MCX  and  DL6RAI   will  be  active   as
         homecall/OY from Suduroy , Faroe Islands (EU-018) on 7-16 July. They
         will operate SSB, CW and digital modes on the HF bands and 6 metres.

UR     - The Ukrainian State Centre of Radio  Frequencies ARC will be  active
         as EM0ITU  on 7-11  July,  in connection  with  an ITU  Workshop  on
         spectrum monitoring. QSL via UT3UZ. [TNX OPDX Bulletin]
SV9    - J49L will  be  aired  from Crete  (EU-015)  during  the  Aegean  VHF
         Contest, to be held on 5-6 July. Expect activity on 6 and 2  metres,
         as well as on 70cm. QSL via bureau to SV9AHZ. [TNX SV9AHZ]
TA     - TA1HZ and  TA2RX  will  operate as  TC2YF  for  the  Yalova  Plateau
         Festival on 5-6  July. Main activity  is expected  on 40,  20 and  2

VK9X   - Marq/CT1BWW (VK9XWW),  John/EA3GHZ (VK9XHZ),  Henry/EA5EOR  (VK9XOR)
         and Dina/EC5BME  (VK9XME) have  had to  change the  dates for  their
         announced activity from Christmas Island [425DXN 885]. They will  be
         leaving Spain on 8 July and expect to  be QRV on the 14th until  the

W      - George, KI4DSO will be active from Sea Island (NA-058) until 6 July,
         concentrating on 20 and 80 metres SSB. QSL direct to home call. [TNX
W      - Swen, DL3YCF will be  active holiday style  as W4/DL3YCF from  Santa
         Rosa Island (NA-142) until 6  August. QSL via  home call, direct  or

YV     - A group of operators from the  Radio Club Venezolano will be  active
         as YW6AJ from  Piritu Adentro (SA-090),  Anzoalegui State, on  24-27
         July. The team  will participate in  the IOTA Contest  as YW6A,  but
         YW6AJ will remain active on 12, 17 and 30 metres, as well as on  the

manager for JW0HZ and HF0POL (year  2002). Requests should be sent direct  to

QSL GALLERY  ---> The  large collection  of QSL  cards (nearly  5800) on  Les
Nouvelles DX's web site has been updated. Twelve different galleries include
cards for the ten Most Wanted DXCC  Entities (228 QSLs), the 58 deleted  DXCC
entities (870 QSLs),  obsolete prefixes  (2192 QSLs),  stations from  Magrebh
from 1947  to 1962  (264 QSLs),  Antarctic bases  (681 QSLs)  & TAAF  (Terres
Australes and Antarctiques  Francaises, 236  QSLs), the  various French  DXCC
island Entities in the Pacific Ocean (195 QSLs) & the Indian Ocean (96 QSLs),
pre-1945 countries  (438 QSLs),  French Departments  (450 QSLs)  and USA  (49
QSLs) plus a gallery for cards not accepted by DXCC (88 QSLs). Several  cards

QSL ROUTES --->  Leonardo Lastrucci, IZ5FSA  and Paolo  Toscano, IK3QAR  have
developed a  new  command (SHOW/IK3QAR  )  to  query  IK3QAR's  QSL
Manager Internet database (www.ik3qar.it) from the DXcluster. The command has
been included in  the DX Spider  Cluster version  1.55 (build  0.25) by  Dirk
Koopman, G1TLH. Sysops  can contact IZ5FSA  (e-mail address  at qrz.com)  for
further information.

available  at  http://www.425dxn.org/awards/toplist/index.html.  Please  note
that QSOs confirmed through LoTW or included in on-line logs are now eligible

VENEZUELAN INDEPENDENCE DAY CONTEST ---> The  47th edition of the  Venezuelan
Independence Day Contest will take place on 5-6 July. This is a WW event,  to
be run on 10, 15, 20, 40, 80 and 160 metres SSB and CW. Complete details  can
