3W     - Retu, OH4MDY and Henry, OH3JR will be active from Vietnam as  XV2RZ
         and XV2JR respectively until 7 December. They operate CW,  SSB  and
         RTTY on the HF bands.   QSL  for  both  calls  via  OH4MDY  (direct

5R     - Eric, F6ICX will operate only CW on  80-10  metres  as  5R8IC  from
         Sainte-Marie Island (AF-090), Madagascar from  17  November  to  14
         December. QSL via home call, bureau preferred. [TNX F6GCP]
6W     - Tom, GM4FDM and Ronald, PA3EWP will  be  active  as  6W/GM4FDM  and
         6W/PA3EWP from Senegal from 26 January to 9 February. They plan  to
         concentrate on the low bands and RTTY, with an  emphasis  on  North
         America and Japan. QSL 6W/GM4FDM via home call, QSL  6W/PA3EWP  via

T7     - Aurelio, IZ0EGM will operate SSB and CW as T70A during the ARRL  10
         Meter Contest (12-13 December) from the radio club of San  Marino's

8P     - Brian, ND3F will be active as 8P9SS from Barbados (NA-021) from  22
         November to 2 December, including an entry  in  the  CQ  WW  DX  CW

A4     - Celebrating Oman's Nationald Day, the  Royal  Omani  Amateur  Radio
         Society will be  running  special  event  station  A43ND  until  25
         November on various bands and modes. QSL via A47RS. [TNX A41MA]
C9     - Igor, UY5LW will be active as C91LW from  Maputo,  Mozambique  from
         13 November to 3 December. He will operate CW with  some  RTTY  and
         PSK on 80-12 metres,  including  an  entry  in  the  CQ  WW  DX  CW
         Contest. Activity on 160 metres will  depend  on  local  situation.

CE     - Alain, F6BFH and Marco, CE6TBN [425DXN 966] plan to be active  from
         IOTA group SA-085 on 15 November. Look for activity on 20,  17  and
         15 metres CW and SSB. [TNX F5NQL]
CE0Y   - Roberto, YV5IAL will be active as  CE0/YV5IAL  from  Easter  Island
         (SA-001) on 8-11 January. This will be  a  QRP,  portable,  holiday
         style operation, with PSK31 activity on 14070.15 kHz from 22  to  1
         UTC, and occasionally on 40, 30 and 15 metres. QSL via  home  call.

CT9   -  DJ2YA,  DJ6QT,  DL1CW,  DL5AXX  and  SV1RP  will  be active as CT9/
         homecall  from Madeira  (AF-014) from  24 November  to 3  December,
         including a M/2 entry in the CQ WW DX CW Contest as CR3L  (QSL  via

D2     - D2CQ is the newly issued callsign that  Paulo,  CT1ITZ  (ex  D2PJB)
         [425DXN 966] will be using from Angola until 29 November.  QSL  via

DU     - Jouko, DU/OH1RX will  be  active  from  Manila  during  the  LZ  DX
         Contest (http://lzdx.bfra.org/) on 21-22  November.  QSL  via  home

EA8    - The Teide DX Group will be active as EF8BFH from Punta del  Hidalgo
         Lighthouse on Tenerife, Canary  Islands  on  14-15  November.  They
         will be active on the HF bands, 6 and 2 metres and on 70 cm,  using
         SSB, CW and digital modes. QSL via  EA8NQ,  direct  o  via  bureau.

F      - Special station TM5TUR will be promoting amateur radio  during  the
         Science Week at the Turgot Secondary School  in  Limoges  on  16-20

FG     - Serge, F6AUS will be active as FG/F6AUS and TO4D (in contest)  from
         La Desirade, Guadeloupe (NA-102) until March. [TNX F6AUS]
FK     - JA1NLX will be active as FK/JA1NLX from Ouvea Island (OC-033),  New
         Caledonia on 19-23 November. He plans to operate  CW  and  RTTY  on
         40-10 metres, and possibily on 80m as well, with 100  watts  and  a

HB9    - Special event station 4U1AIDS  will  be  active  from  UNAIDS  (the
         Joint  United  Nations  Programme  on  HIV/AIDS)  headquarters   in
         Geneva, Switzerland on 1-7  December  to  encourage  amateur  radio
         operators to participate in  the  World  AIDS  Day.  Started  on  1
         December 1988, the aim  of  World  AIDS  Day  is  to  raise  money,
         increase awareness, fight prejudice and improve education.  QSL  to
         Andrey  Fedorov,  UNAIDS,  20  Avenue  Appia,  CH-1211  Geneva  27,
         Switzerland. Further information on this  event  can  be  found  at
HL     - DS2AGH and others will participate in the CQ WW DX  CW  Contest  as
         6M0HZ/2  from  Kanghwa  Island  (AS-105).  QSL  via  DS2AGH.   [TNX
I      - COTA (Carabinieri on the Air) members will be active  as  IQ6CC  on
         20-22 November to celebrate  Saint  Mary  "Virgo  Fidelis",  patron
         saint of the Carabinieri, the  Italian  military  police.  QSL  via
         IW6DSM, direct or bureau. [TNX I6YOT]
I      - Tony/IK1QBT, Claudio/I1NVU and Emilio/IZ1GAR  will  participate  in
         the CQ WW DX CW Contest as IG9X (SOSB 15m),  IG9U  (SOSB  80m)  and
         IG9W (SOSB 40m)  respectively.  Outside  the  contest,  between  22
         November to 1 December, they will operate as  IG9/homecall  with  a
         focus on the low bands. QSL via home calls. [TNX IK1QBT]
JA     - Takeshi, JI3DST will be active  as  either  JS6RRR  and  JI3DST/JS6
         from the Miyako  Islands  (AS-079)  on  21-30  November,  including
         activity during the CQ WW DX CW Contest. His main QTH  will  be  on
         Miyako-jima (JIIA AS-079-005), but he also plans to go and  operate
         from Ikema-jima (AS-079-001) and Kurima-jima (AS-079-003). QSL  via

P2     - Bad weather has forced Hans, SM6CVX (P29VCX) to cancel his  planned
         operation from Hastings Island (OC-117).  He  is  now  active  from
         Normandby Island (OC-116) until 01.00 UTC on 14 November. The  trip
         to Loloata (OC-240) is still on his agenda. QSL  via  SM6CVX.  [TNX
PA     - The only trolleybus system in operation in the  Netherlands  is  in
         the city of Arnhem, which  adopted  it  sixty  years  ago.  Special
         callsign  PC60TROLLEY  will  be  aired  from  17  November  to   15

PA     - Special event callsign PD450OBL will be in  use  from  24  November
         through 20 December to  celebrate  the  450th  anniversary  of  the
         Dutch village of Oud-Beijerland. QSL via PD0LDC. [TNX PD0LDC]
PJ4    - Hennie, PE1MAE will be active as PJ4/PE1MAE from  Bonaire  (SA-006)
         until 1 December. He operates SSB mainly on 80 and 40  metres.  QSL

T8     - Jun, JJ1BMB will be active as T88AA from Palau until  22  November.
         He operates SSB only on 80-10 metres. QSL via home call, direct  or

TT     - Jovica, E78A has been in Chad since 25 September, and has  had  his
         TT8JT renewed. He will be active from Abeche during the next  three
         or four weeks. He operates CW during  his  spare  time,  as  he  is
         working for the United  Nations  High  Commissioner  for  Refugees.
         Activity during the CQ WW DX CW Contest is not  confirmed  at  this

V3     - Alex, KU1CW will be active as V31CW from Belize  from  23  November
         to 2 December. He will operate CW only, including an entry  in  the
         CQ WW DX CW Contest. His wife Natasha will be active as V31YL,  SSB

V8     - Hans, SM3TLG will be active as V88/SM3TLG from Brunei  (OC-088)  on

VE     - Mike, W7ASF will be active as VY2/W7ASF from Prince  Edward  Island
         (NA-029) on 18-24 November, including an  entry  in  the  ARRL  SSB
         Sweepstakes (21-23 November). QSL via home call, direct or  bureau.

VP2V   - Look for Gerd, VP2V/DL7VOG  to  be  active  from  Anegada,  British
         Virgin Islands (NA-023) from 15 November to  2  December.  He  will
         operate CW and RTTY on all bands, including activity during the  CQ
         WW DX CW Contest (hopefully under a  shorter  VP2V  callsign).  QSL

VU_ant - Bhagwati Prasad Semwal, VU3BPZ will be  part  of  the  29th  Indian
         Antarctic Expedition, between mid-November and March 2011. He  will
         be located at Maitri Base and will operate mainly on 20 metres  SSB
         as  AT10BP.  QSL  direct   to    the    qrz.com    address.    [TNX
XE     - XE3N, XE3PP, XE2WK and XE3RR will be active as XF3RR from  Isla  El
         Cerrito (NA-153) on 10-14 December. Organized  by  the  Radio  Club
         Cancun, this will be a low scale  operation  as  the  island  is  a
         protected area. Suggested frequencies are 3790, 7060, 14260,  18140
         and 21260 kHz (SSB); 3585, 7044, 10104, 14085, 18104 and 21085  kHz
         (RTTY). IOTA group NA-153 was activated  for  the  first  and  only
         time back in 1994. QSL via EB7DX.
XU     - Wim, XU7TZG (XU7KOH) will be active from  Koh  Russei  (AS-133)  on
         13-16 November. He plans to operate SSB  (14260,  18128  and  21260
         kHz) and PSK31 (14040, 18100 and 21080 kHz). QSL  via  ON7PP.  [TNX

who lost his wife Margret, SM4PUR on 25 October. "She was a keen DXer",  Ake
says, "and had only two more countries to go to get them all".
