will be QRV mostly on the HF bands with 100 watts and wire
antennas. QSL via OH8TA, direct or bureau. [TNX rsgbiota.org]
PJ6 - Southeastern DX Club's and K5D team's members Bob (K4UEE), Gregg
(W6IZT) and George (N4GRN) will be active as PJ6/homecall from the
island of Saba (NA-145) on 11-15 March. Their purpose is to
"finalize plans and begin building a station for the anticipated
political realignment in the Netherlands Antilles later this
year". QSL via home calls. [TNX K4UEE]
T32 - Nils, SM6CAS has had to withdraw from the IOTA DXpedition to the
Southern Line Islands [425DXN 982], due to his wife's health.
"Nils is very keen for this DXpedition to go ahead even though he
cannot join us", the other four operators say. He "has been
planning this for several years and he is the major financier of
the project", and will still be the QSL manager for all callsigns
         (T32MI, T32CI, T32SI and T32VI).
         Announced frequencies are 28040, 24920, 21040, 18098, 14040, 10103,
         7030 and 3530 kHz (CW); 28460/28495, 24950, 21260, 18128, 14260/
         14195, 7078 and 3795 kHz(SSB). 9M6DXX will operate SSB only, while
the other members (G3KHZ, G4EDG, K9AJ) are primarily CW operators.
They will "have up to four stations operating simultaneously",
9M6DXX says, "but since there are only four of us this is likely to
be only at peak times. We hope to run two stations most of the
time and at least one will be on CW. Three of the stations will be
100W, and one station will have an Acom 1010 amplifier. This will
normally be used on SSB but may also be used on CW if no-one is on
SSB. All antennas will be verticals situated close to the ocean".
They do not know in which order they will be visiting the islands,
as that "will be decided by the captain and based on the weather
and sea conditions". However, they hope to be able to update the
website (t32line.webnode.com) with the precise dates of operation
as they approach each island in turn.
TA - The TC Special Wireless Activity Team (www.tcswat.org) will be
active as TC18M on 16-18 March to commemorate the 95th anniversary
of the naval battle of 18 March 1915 during the Dardanelles
Campaign. TA3AX will operate mainly CW, while TA1HZ might be using
BPSK31 and SSB. QSL via TA1HZ. [TNX TA1HZ]
TG - Roberto, IV3IYH will be active as TG9IRP from Guatemala from 20
March to 1 April, including an entry in the CQ WPX SSB Contest. He
will operate SSB, CW and RTTY on 80-10 metres. QSL via IK2ILH,
direct or bureau (e-mail requests for bureau cards can be sent to
         ik2ilh@libero.it), or LoTW. [TNX IV3IYH]
VE - John, VE8EV will be active as CK8G from Greens Island (NA-182) on
15-20 April. Activated only once back in 1993, this IOTA group has
been claimed by only 5.3% of current IOTA participants. "While a
summer operation would be far easier, more comfortable, and
(probably) cheaper", John says, "I wanted to go in April to take
advantage of the better spring time propagation". He expects
"around-the-clock propagation on 20m so I will concentrate on
Europe during their sunrise and sunset, North America during their
sunset, and Asia right after their sunrise". He will operate SSB
only using a 3-element yagi antenna and an amplifier. QSL via
VE8EV, direct or bureau. Updates and further information,
including details on how contribute to this expensive operation,
can be found at ve8ev.blogspot.com/search/label/IOTA [TNX VE8EV]

22 May-1 June T31X and T31UR Central Kiribati (OC-043)
2-6 June ZK3X Tokelau (OC-048)
They will operate CW, SSB and digital modes on 160-10 metres. QSL for all
Callsigns via UR3HR, direct or bureau. More information, including details
on how contribute to the expedition, at www.uz1hz.com/pacificodyssey.html

425 DX NEWS MAGAZINE ---> The latest issue (February 2010) is now available
at www.425dxn.org/monthly/index.html. Articles and pictures should be sent
to Nicola Baldresca, IZ3EBA (iz3eba @ iz3eba.it)

EA9IE ---> A few days ago Juan, EA9IE reached the 250,000th QSO mark and on
11 March he uploaded his full log to LoTW. "QSLling from my side does not
change", he says. Cards can still be sent direct or through the bureau
system. His on-line log search is at http://dx.qsl.net/ [TNX EA9IE]

OPERATION CANCELLED (T31) ---> It is with great regret that David/K3LP
(Co-Leader) and Hrane/YT1AD (Leader) must inform the DX Community that
after 16 months of planning, their DXpedition to Canton Island
(www.yt1ad.info/t31/), slated for 11 days in October 2010, will be
cancelled. "We planned 6 stations fully equipped for HF plus two additional
stations for UHF/VHF/Satellite plus 13-14 operators", they say. "Our goal
was to make 100,000 plus QSOs much like our N8S, Swains Island DXpedition
in 2006. This decision is based on the announcement by the T31X team
planned for June 2010. Unfortunately, it is cheaper to send a smaller crew
with three radios and two amplifiers. In light of this recent announcement,
the total cost of the trip versus the uniqueness will evaporate prior to
our arrival. For this reason, we will pick another location for a future
date. Minus some team member partial cash contributions and planned
equipment sponsors, there were no cash donations made that need to be
refunded. We will forfeit our $40K cash deposit on the boat and seek other
places in 2011". [TNX YT3W]

OPERATIONS CANCELLED (CE0Z & ZA) ---> Harald, LA9SN has had to cancel his
16-25 March activity from Juan Fernandez because of the recent tsunami
that hit the island. Also, Frank/F4DTO and Patrick/F4GFE have cancelled
their 15-24 April activity from Albania - their home was flooded when the
Xynthia storm devastated western France in late February. [TN Xthe Daily DX
and F5NQL]

QSL VIA M0OXO ---> Charles, M0OXO has taken over QSLing duties for Michael,
G7VJR. This covers the following expeditions G7VJR previously handled
himself: CU2/G7VJR (EU-003), EI/G7VJR (EU-006), GB75UW, GD7VJR (EU-116),
GJ7VJR/p (EU-013), GM7VJR (EU-008), GU7VJR (EU-114), GW7VJR, JW/G7VJR

(EU-021), VP8DMN (SA-002) and ZD8UW (AF-003). A few expeditions are not
changing: YS1G is still managed by G3TXF, and GH6UW (EU-099) is still
managed by M0BLF. Also, no change on K3VOA (short term guest). G7VJR's page
on qrz.com sums up the correct routing for all cards. Any QSLs that are in
the mail already will receive a reply, and no cards will be left
unanswered. [TNX G7VJR]
