3B8    - Mart, DL6UAA will be active again as 3B8MM  from  Mauritius  Island
         (AF-049) starting on 4 April  for  three  weeks.  He  will  operate
         mainly CW on 160-10 metres, with some SSB and  digital  modes.  QSL
         via DL6UAA, direct or bureau. [TNX OPDX Bulletin]
9K     - The Kuwait Amateur Radio  Society  will  be  active  as  9K2F  from
         Failaka Island (AS-118) on 1-5 April. QSL via 9K2HN. [TNX DX World]
C3     - Ten C35 stations (C35CA, C35DR, C35HI, C35JM, C35KC, C35LM,  C35MO,
         C35PR, C35SG and C35US) and ten C36 stations (C36AR, C36AT,  C36BO,
         C36CT, C36JI, C36JS, C36MF, C36PP, C36RP and C36VM) will be  active
         on 1-30 April to celebrate the 30th anniversary of  Andorra's  IARU
         society (Unio de Radioaficionats  Andorrans).  Information  on  the

CT8    - For the first time, the Azores Islands will  be  active  under  the
         callsign CQ8X (QSL via OH2BH) in this weekend's  WPX  Contest.  The
         operators (CU2CE, CU2DX, DL6LAU, N6RC, OH1TV, OH2BH, OH2UA,  OH6KN,
         OH6RM and OH8NC) might also put another station  on  as  CR2X  (QSL

DL     - Dan, DL5SE is going on an island & lighthouse tour on 26-29  March.
         He plans to operate CW only from a few IOTA and/or  German  Islands
         Award locations, as well as from  lighthouses  on  the  Baltic  Sea

FR     - Ced, F4EGZ active as FR/F4EGZ from Reunion Island (AF-016)  between
         25 March and 19 April. He will operate on 10, 12, 15, 17, 20 and  6
         metres, and take part in the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest.  QSL  via  home

GM     - MM0DGR/p will operate CW, SSB and BPSK63 on 40-10 metres  from  Den
         of Airlie National Nature  Reserve  on  27  March,  including  some
         activity during the CQ WW WPX SSB Contest. QSL via MM0DFV.  Further

HK     - HK3OVP and HK3OCH will be active as 5K7SNC from the  Sierra  Nevada
         Mountain Range, Colombia on 1-2 April. Look for  them  around  7140
         kHz. QSL via HK3OCH, direc or bureau and LoTW.
I      - Special station II0SPQR will be active 1-30 April to celebrate  the
         2763rd anniversary of  the foundation  of  Rome.  QSL  via  IK0QNZ.

OZ     - Look for Ben, OZ/DO1BEN and his  wife  Barbara,  OZ/DO1IQ  will  be
         active again from Lolland Island (EU-029) on 2-9 April.  They  will
         operate on the HF bands SSB with some RTTY and PSK31. QSL via  home

PA     - Anneke, PB7XYL will be active as PB88XYL on 3-30 April.  This  will
         be the  first  activity  by  the  WOTA  Club  (Women  On  The  Air,
         wotaclub2010.blogspot.com). QSL via PB7XYL, direct or bureau.  [TNX
PY     - Araucaria DX Group's contest station ZW5B will participate  in  the
         CQ WW WPX SSB Contest as  PY5GA,  as  a  tribute  to  their  "major
         elmer" Olavo Scherrer (PY5GA). Olavo passed away on 21 March at  88
         years of age. [TNX PY5EG]
T32    - The Line Islands DXpedition team  started  operations  from  Malden
         Island (OC-279) at 00.22 UTC on 25 March. T32MI is QRV  with  three
         stations, as "extreme  temperature  and  high  winds  have  limited
         setting up more antennas and a fourth station". They plan one  more
         night of operation from Malden, and then head for  Caroline  Island
         (T32CI, OC-281). QSL via SM6CAS. [TNX t32line.webnode.com]
VE     - According to the latest update at  qrz.com,  Cezar,  VE3LYC  (VY0V)
         arrived in Thunder Bay on  25  March  and  was  scheduled  "to  fly
         north"  on the  26th.  For the  trip  to  East Pen Island  (NA-231)
         [425DXN 975] he has retained the services of two local guides. They
         will load all the  camping  gear on sleds towed by snowmobiles, and
         the travel to the island  should take around  ten  hours under good
         weather  conditions.  Outside temperature is expected to be -20C or
         even  lower.  "This  is  a rather difficult project",  Cezar  says,
         which  "may  have to be aborted if safety concerns dictate it".
YI     - Eric, KG4GYS says he will be active as  YI9GYS  from  Tikrit,  Iraq
         "for the next several  months".  He  operates  SSB  on  20  and  17
         metres. QSL via home call.
YI     - Announced frequencies for the 2-11 April YI9PSE expedition to  Iraq
         [425DXN 973] are as follows:
         CW   1824, 3504, 7004, 10104, 14024, 18074, 21024, 24894, 28024 kHz
         SSB  1845, 3780, 7065/7180, 14195, 18145, 21295, 24945, 28495 kHz
         RTTY 7035, 10140, 14080, 18100, 21080, 24920, 28080 kHz
         Thirteen operators (AH6HY, FM5CD, JH4RHF,  K1LZ,  K3LP, K3VN, N2WB,
         N6OX,  N6PSE,  W5KDJ, W0UCE,  YI1UNH and YT1AD) will be active with
         five  stations, four  amplifiers  and  a wide range of antennas. It
         will be possible to follow YI9PSE via Twitter (twitter.com/yi9pse).

HB9 & HB0 POSTAL RATES ---> Postal rates  in  Switzerland  will  rise  on  1
April. The new prices for standard letter  items  up  to  20  grams  are  as
Europe   Economy    CHF 1.30     Other countries   Economy    CHF 1.60
         Priority   CHF 1.40                       Priority   CHF 1.90
A Mail Calculator on-line service is provided by Swiss Post  (poste.ch).
Please note that the same rates apply to Liechtenstein, as  postal  services
in that Principality are operated by Swiss  Post,  under  the  terms  of  an
agreement between the two countries. 1 IRC  covers  Economy  postage  for  a
standard letter item up to 20  grams  to  anywhere  in  the  world.  At  the
current exchange rate, 1 USD is +/- 1.05 CHF, and 1 EUR  is  +/-  1.45  CHF.

K4M ---> The K4M (Midway Atoll 2009, 44  minutes)  DVD,  produced  by  James
Brooks, 9V1YC is  now  available;  purchase  information  can  be  found  at

QSL D44AC ---> Mario, IK3HHX says he is receiving  direct  and  bureau  card
requests for D44AC, but he is not his QSL manager. He can confirm only  QSOs
made between 21 March and 2 April 2002, when D44AC  was  operated  by  4L5A.
Otherwise cards should be sent diret to Carlos Pulu, P.O. Box 398,  Mindelo,
Sao Vicente, Cape Verde.

QSL VQ9LA ---> Starting 15 April 2010, the new QSL route will be  via  N0QM:
Larry Arneson, 705 Rhodes Ave, Grandview,  MO  64030,  USA.  Larry  will  be
departing Diego Garcia in December, and he  wants  the  mail  going  in  the
right direction prior to that. All QSL cards sent to the  FPO  Box  will  be
